#JobDilemma #CareerAdvice #QuitOrNot
Hey there everyone! 👋 So, I graduated college not too long ago and landed a job that I thought would be the perfect fit. Turns out, it’s the complete opposite and I’m miserable 😩. I know they say your first job may not be your dream job, but this is on another level 🙈.
I’m thinking about throwing in the towel around September or October, but I’m not sure if it’s a smart move. Anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice? Here are some things to consider:
– Explore other job opportunities before making a decision
– Consider talking to a mentor or career counselor for guidance
– Think about the impact quitting could have on your resume and future job prospects
Let’s discuss! Let me know your thoughts. 🤔 #JobDilemma #CareerAdvice
Start applying for other jobs right now instead of planning when to quit this one. As soon as you have something else quit. Don’t list this job on your resume seeing as it’s only been 10 days.
tell us more about the job and your responsibilities?
your major, and hobbies/skills/interests?
if you just want general context of alternatives, then yeah, you put yourself in that position because you made that decision.
lack of planning and skill development will put you in places where you don’t want to be.
low quality employees get canned first, or the ones that cannot speak up for themselves typically.
don’t give up, remember that it takes 67 times to form an effective habit.
keep a journal of things so that you can track your growth potential and opportunities, every single day. don’t waste a day believing or pretending that you are not a valuable individual in your endeavors – that is precisely where your dreams die in Corporate .. because you’ve assimilated and become a cubicle or line worker, or manager trying to hold together a team with no sense of value/satisfactions/compensation in what you’re pursuing.
The idea that your first job isnt supposed to be good is weird. Didnt you do your research to find a job that would be what you wanted to do?
Or is the issue that reality didnt meet your expectations and you dont actually enjoy what you thought you would?
Smart move would be to get another job lined up before quitting.
