Hey there! ๐ So you’re 28 and feeling a bit lost in terms of your career path? It’s totally understandable, but remember, it’s never too late to make a change and find your purpose! Have you considered joining the military as a potential option?
Here are some things to consider when contemplating joining the military at 28:
– It’s never too late to start a new career path, and the military can provide structure, training, and a sense of purpose.
– Branches like the Air Force and Navy often have less physically demanding roles if frontline combat isn’t your preference.
– The military can offer opportunities for education, career advancement, and personal growth.
However, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons and consider all your options. Have you thought about exploring other career paths or seeking guidance from career counselors? It might also be beneficial to reflect on your interests, strengths, and values to help guide your decision.
Remember, the most important thing is to find something that aligns with your passions and values. Good luck on your journey, and don’t be afraid to explore all possibilities! ๐ #CareerExploration #NewBeginnings
I joined the army at 28. Best decision I’ve ever made. Gave me many opportunities to massively boost myself financially.
Pick an MOS that transitions directly over when you get out like healthcare jobs or something like that.
I joined the army national guard at 27. Best decision I couldโve made and experiences, skills, etc I couldnโt have gotten anywhere else. Benefits are also worth it. In AIT alone I saved enough money as food is provided and basic housing allowance I was able to pay off quite a bit of personal debt as well. Depending on the MOS you choose, you really can have a dual income and still have time to work out what you want to do on the civilian side.
Joining the military is one of the best decision Iโve made in my life. Trust me the military isnโt what Hollywood movies make it out to seem. Itโs a meaningful profession with unmatched benefits. I recommend joining the navy if you want to see that world.
What are theae comments haha
If your intelligent enough to pass the entrance exam then pass a strength agility exam I would try for the air force! Depending where you fall into the results of your exam you can do almost anything.
I was a police k9 handler. Loved that job buuuut it wasn’t going to carry over to civilian life. I didn’t want to be a cop. I wanted to be a k9 cop!
I would look into cyber security. It’s a high paying civilian job. Six digits as a civilian.
Who knows put in 20yrs and you’ll get a govt pension for life.
You know what, if you have no direction right now, fucking go for it.
Military wonโt be easy but if you make it and come out of it, the government does a lot for you.
I say go for it while you still can. Itโs either that or school.
why don’t you ask a vet? yk someone who’s like late 30s to early 50s and has served in the military. I think yk very well how traumatizing was is but it’s unlikely that you’d be drafted to a war rn. But yes, please do ask veterans of your country. There must be more opportunities in the military than just being a soldier.
I joined later than most and it has been a great experience.
Join the Air Force, I have been in for 20 years (joined at 19). You can go active or guard. Huge sign on bonuses right now, talk to a recruiter. If youโre interested in aviation you can get state of the art training and work on Boeing and LM aircraft, gain experience and make bank on the outside with either one of them or overseas contracting. You can see the world. The only downside to joining at 28 is you may have leadership whom are younger than you that will be appointed over you. That can be difficult.
