You should invent something people need to use every day, start your own business, and then sell it
Maybe some sort of apprenticeship would be a good idea. I’m not hiring but I’m willing to help someone on a software project if we use my software as part of the project.
Be blunt? Ok join the military. Instantly out of mom and Dad’s basement, 3 hots and a cot. Will train you in a skill/trade.
I did, stayed in 1 tour. Hated it while in, but used the post 9/11 GI bill and an now a nurse running my own clinic.
I used the VA home loan to buy a house zero down.
When I go to Lowe’s, I have a parking spot up front.
Unless you standout a lot, most jobs require some college degree. You will be competing with everyone else that has a Bs or higher and more work exprience. If you absolutely don’t want to get a BS then you are only left with blue collar work, so it’s up to you.
I agree with the military recommendation and I’d also add getting connected with your state’s employment agency since they help with getting jobs and whatnot. I’m in tech and while COMPTIA has good certs, an internship would definitely help. Good luck
I was in your place at 23. I went back to college to get a degree in CS. You just need to choose a path that you think you can perform well in and earn a decent living.
You need to start ASAP since you’re already behind. WGU offers affordable degrees that are online. If I knew about that school at 23 it would’ve been a game changer.
Get certifications, or go back to college to finish degree.
You can’t expect to make more money if you have nothing under your belt.
Your already know the market is hard, your competing with people that are struggling to find jobs and they got experience + certifications + degrees… so you need something to even get something nowadays. gl op i think apprenticeship or military all sound good.. in this case.
