Hey there, amazing community! I’ve got a little dilemma I could use some help with. So, I’ve made the decision to cut off financial support from my dad due to personal reasons. I’ve got just enough to get by this month, but I also have an extra $50 (5500 BDT) that I want to put towards starting my own business. 🤯 Crazy, right?
Here’s the scoop:
– I’m a pro Canva graphic designer and I’ve dabbled in selling university-themed t-shirts online with some success.
– I want to start selling custom framed posters on Facebook, as I’ve already received positive feedback from friends who’ve seen my work.
– I’ve noticed that similar products are selling for way more than what it costs me to make them.
Now, here’s where I need your expertise:
– Any tips on how to effectively market my custom framed posters on Facebook?
– How can I maximize my $50 budget to kickstart this business?
– Are there any tools or resources you recommend for someone starting out in this kind of venture?
I’m excited to dive into this new adventure, but I could definitely use some guidance along the way. Any suggestions or advice you have would be greatly appreciated! Let’s make this little buddy of mine a success together. 💪🎨 #SmallBusinessTips #CreativeEntrepreneur
Good luck dude
Good luck, man! First, be proud of the initiative you’re taking. Second, keep honing your craft and don’t rely on Canva solely. You can use Inkscape as well. I’m a fellow graphic designer.
However, I do believe that tools do not equal skills. One can use Illustrator but is not good and one can be good using Canva. Still, Canva is limited in some areas. Using tools like Inkscape which is free and good (I use it myself) and using Adobe Illustrator when you’d have the funds to do so, will help you make better posters.
Also try to post your posters/content on Instagram as well. And as you make content, try to make little series that talks about the stories behind your posters (free content idea lol). It’ll make the posters have more emotional value. Plus you’ll get more eyes on your shop.
I also want to open a similar business but have been more focused on my other projects. So I’d love to hear how your experience will be going. Keep us updated! 🙂
If you need some advice on design-related stuff, my DMs are open.
Wishing you the best and go nail this thing!
Go for it! Make sure to keep motivated !
