What are your thoughts on targeted job listings? Have you had success with niche job boards? Let’s discuss! 🌟
If a company can’t afford to post their jobs on LinkedIn, you probably shouldn’t work there. Because it’s an indication that they are not financially healthy, can’t afford to pay you well, and you’ll likely be facing layoffs at some point.
Focus on strong, financially healthy companies. Places that offer job security. I’ve been laid off so many times in my career because I made poor choices in accepting job offers at failing companies.
I genuinely believe some people don’t know how to find jobs or use LinkedIn or are applying to very old postings. I personally think LinkedIn is the best platform to find good jobs.

Ignore LinkedIn. Visit the recruitment portal of the company you want to work for.
That corporate circle jerk Facebook lookalike is as fake as can be.
LinkedIn is great for finding out about the position in a company, not to apply thorough it.
I also did not receive any offers. Always a generic rejectoon message from LinkedIn, but it is because the way that system works. Check it out yourself and see what I mean.
What I do is, I don’t apply thorough EasyApply, I go to their website and fill everything in. If it is not available, then I find their website and see if they have career page. If they do not have career page I send an email to their HR.
It is basically a lead generator for me.
Has anyone got a site or scraper that can actually do smart searching? Say I want to search for engineer OR developer AND a key word of solar OR wind, and I want to search in New York OR remote, has anyone built anything that actually provides decent search results/email notifications?
I find a lot of job boards find me 40+ jobs per day, and 3 a week are relevant.
