#StealingElectricity ππ‘
Have you ever wondered what can happen when someone tries to steal electricity? Well, let me share a story that might make you think twice before attempting such a risky move.
## The Neighbor Who Crossed the Line
So this happened about ten years ago – I had a neighbor who was your typical canβt keep a job for long enough to pay for anything but itβs always someone elseβs fault type of guy. The previous tenants at my apartment had installed an RV hookup and when the neighbor didnβt pay his bill he simply wired his breaker panel to my 50 amp outlet.
## A Shocking Response
As an engineer, I have lots of random things laying around. So I checked to make sure the power company had isolated his service, then I wired up a transformer and plugged his cord into it. This sent about 10,000 volts through every appliance in his house for just long enough to make sure that not even his cell phone would ever turn on again.
## The Aftermath
The next week, the pile of electronics on the curb was stunning. PlayStations, 6 tv sets, surround sound, computers, every appliance you name it, if it plugged in it was trash.
## Lesson Learned
This incident serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of stealing electricity. Not only is it illegal, but it can also have dangerous and costly repercussions.
## How to Prevent Electricity Theft
If you suspect someone is stealing electricity, here are some steps you can take to protect yourself and your property:
1. Install tamper-proof meters to monitor electricity usage
2. Secure outdoor outlets and meters to prevent unauthorized access
3. Report any suspicious activity to your utility company
4. Educate your neighbors about the dangers of electricity theft
## Consequences of Electricity Theft
Stealing electricity is a serious offense that can result in severe penalties, including:
– Fines from the utility company
– Legal action from law enforcement
– Damage to property and appliances
– Risk of electric shock or fire
## Conclusion
In conclusion, stealing electricity may seem like a quick and easy way to save money, but the risks far outweigh the benefits. It’s important to always pay for the electricity you use and report any instances of theft to avoid serious consequences. Remember, safety should always be a top priority when it comes to electricity usage.

That’s definitely some shocking Revenge
Ohm my God, that was not watt he was expecting!
Damn !! Nice job !
Shock therapy, well done!
Shocking vengeance. Did he ever figure out what happened or suspect you?
A bit more on the nuclear revenge side here
You are like a god unto me
There are a couple things that make this an awesome revenge story. First, good on you for taking out all of the electronics and second… what are they going to do? Call the cops and say, we were stealing electricity and all of our electronics got cooked. It is like a drug dealer getting robbed. – who they gunna call?
Fellow engineer here. Where did you find a transformer to do that? A pole pig?
If there was a taser involved, I’d call this level of revenge STUNNING. As it is, your response was, I’m sure a shock to his system(s).
You are not a person to fuck around with. Atomic level revenge.
Ohm my god!
Watt did I just read?
By no means petty. Well played sir, well played.
Well done! Not everyone would have had the amptitude to do what you did.
Jeez, that hertz
petty revenge – *best served with high voltage!*
Which pole did you tactically acquire a transformer from?
That amped up the revenge.
Itβs a wonder his house didnβt burn to the ground. But I guess for a second or millisecond, all it did was fry his electronics. Maybe his kitchen appliances.
Wow! That was a bit more than petty! Well done, though.
Iβll bet he was shocked to find that nothing was operable. Watt brilliant revenge.
Ohm my god!
Darn lightning. Lol
Watt?
Thats a bit more than petty revenge!
Serves him right
Itβs possible to steal electricity from the landline phone by using step-up transformer. Phone line voltage is 45v. That neighbor is a rookie.
So he never checked to see if the internal fuses could be replaced?
This is Grand.
How do broke people always have so much stuff?
Iβm getting all amped up just reading about this current event
I love it, well done.
This is tactical nuclear revenge! Petty revenge would’ve been like shutting off his power in the middle of a football game or something…
Thatβs. Just. Badass! Slow clap π
Buck around and boost out
