Hey there, if you’re facing a situation where your VP is threatening you with “time card fraud” after reporting inappropriate behavior, you’re not alone. Here are some actionable steps you can take to address this issue and protect yourself:
### Understand Your Rights and Document Everything
– Make sure you understand your rights as an employee, especially in cases of harassment or threats.
– Keep detailed records of the interactions with your VP, including any threats or inappropriate behavior.
– Save any emails or messages that contain threats or attempts to manipulate your time cards.
### Seek Support and Guidance
– Reach out to HR or a higher authority within the company to report the behavior of your VP.
– Consider seeking legal advice or contacting the Department of Labor for further assistance.
### Look for a New Job Opportunity
– If the situation becomes unbearable or if your rights are being violated, start looking for a new job opportunity.
– Consider discussing the situation with your coworkers and see if they are interested in similar positions at other companies.
### Protect Your Mental Health
– Remember to prioritize your mental health during this stressful time.
– Talk to a trusted friend, family member, or therapist about what you’re going through.
– Stay focused on finding a solution and moving forward positively.
### Final Thoughts
Remember, you deserve to work in a safe and respectful environment. Don’t let anyone’s fragile ego threaten your well-being. Take action, seek support, and prioritize your own mental health. You’ve got this! 💪 #StandUpForYourself #YouDeserveBetter
I love a happy ending.
And this is why I can’t return to w2 work. I would have been over that table in the one on one meeting ripping off that manager’s face and then being hauled off to jail. Menopausal rage and the bullshit you described makes me a ticking time bomb. I’ve removed myself from this environment for safety reasons 🤣.
Op, I’m so happy you found another job. I love happy endings and hearing about people sticking up for themselves. Never let the bastards get you down! Good luck at the new job.☺️
Something similar happened to me as well. My whole team got offers within days of each other and we all gave notice on the same day. We walked around the office like we owned the place for the next two weeks. And call out all the BS in our meetings. The company needed us so they have to take it and can’t afford to let us go early.
I miss that satisfying “ka-CHUNK” of the old mechanical time clocks at work. Seemed so authentic. And the racks of cards. Time card fraud was punching a friend in when he was hungover and late. 😂 Only cops had badges.
Oh fuck yeah
