“What is the best banking option for startups? #startups #banking #business
Hey there!
I’m on a mission to find the top banking choices for startups, and I need your help. Can you tell me:
– Which bank do you use for your startup?
– What do you love about it?
– Is there anything you wish could be improved?
To get the ball rolling, here’s my experience with Revolut (Europe):
– Pros: Easy to open for startups, supports multiple currencies.
– Cons: Free account is limited, lacks accounting tools.
Your input is crucial as I’m exploring the idea of creating a startup-specific banking solution. Share any interesting stories or insights you have on this topic!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Mercury. I wouldn’t even recommend anything else.
As a startup law firm, we refer to Mercury and I use them personally for my consulting business as well
Silicon Valley Bank. …wait
For Canadians I’ve heard good things about Vault out of TO
Revolut’s multi-currency support is a game-changer for international startups!
What is not SVB for $20 billion Alex. Mercury is the new norm in the US for startups.
Revolut is the only way to go in Europe/UK. Everything else is more expensive and most likely will reject you anyway
Don’t use Sunrise in MN. They has some mistakes that made us drop them as a vendor.
Look into CIBC innovation banking. They are based in Toronto, Canada but have offices all across the US and in Europe. Very startup friendly and can provide non-dilutive capital for companies needing liquidity.
Appreciate this post so much, we are looking for a bank and have heard great things about Mercury. We are a SaaS company so we mainly just want whatever accepts payments from customers easiest.
Stripe Finances (Opal)
i use qonto. I’m very happy with it
We use Starling in the UK. Would prefer it to be multi-currency but apart from that it does everything we need. Never had one issue. Their chat is seamless when you do need something (did a charge reverse last week, for example). Integrated with Xero.
Did quite a bit of research and ended up going with Mercury bank. Been very happy so far, although we’re in very early stages of our start up. Haven’t needed to use a ton of their features, but it certainly is quite user friendly
If you are in the EU then bunq is also great. They have a open API and many bank accounts automatic VAT saving
In Eurozone, Holvi.com is built with startups in mind. Especially if Germany.
