#CareerAdvice #BusinessOpportunities #JobMarketTrends
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m on the lookout for some fresh career and business opportunities, and I’d love to pick your brains on what’s hot right now in the market. Whether it’s a traditional industry seeing a resurgence or a new emerging trend that’s catching fire, I want to know all about it!
To kick things off, here are a few questions to get the ball rolling:
– Are there specific industries that are booming at the moment?
– What are some less obvious career paths that are worth considering?
– Any new trends or emerging markets that might present good business opportunities?
– For those who have recently switched careers or started a business, what influenced your decision?
I’m all ears and excited to hear your insights and experiences! 🌟
As I’ve been doing some research myself, I’ve noticed that fields like technology (especially AI and cybersecurity), healthcare (telemedicine and mental health services), and sustainability are gaining traction. Investing in upskilling or starting a business in these areas could prove to be a smart move! 🚀 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts too!
The big 4 engineers (mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil) will never die. No matter how great AI becomes, someone will need to build and maintain the infrastructure to host the AI.
These will also open many doors for you outside of engineering, as well as give ample networking opportunities. Can’t go wrong with any of these professions/industries.
Were I an 18 Year old right now, looking at University/ College; or someone looking to transition their career or retrain – Investment & Wealth Management is an incredible choice.
In US it’s called, “The Great Wealth Transfer”; and the same is happening across the UK, and many other countries.
“Baby boomers and the silent generation will bequest a total of $84.4 trillion in assets through to 2045, with $72.6 trillion going directly to heirs.”
The figures are ridiculous, even if spread over the next 20 years.
I know in the UK, there is a challenge hiring fresh talent into the Wealth Management sector, so it’s a very aged workforce, and many experienced individuals are looking to sell their practice and retire over the next 5-10 years.
There is a huge opportunity for young, entrepreneurial Investment & Personal wealth managers – to make a lot of money!
Not the music business lol
Programming, physical trades, manufacturing, quality, project management…
Businesses in demand, if you are a plumber for example, when you are too busy for your own schedule you expand. Then eventually you’re managing crews and doing less work.
I was doing some research about this earlier and have been trying to find platforms out there that have courses to multiple (in-demand side hustles) and can connect like minded people that are looking to make passive income from these courses.
I was wondering would something like this have helped you at all?? or is this the complete wrong path i was going down?

Digital marketing- PPC, SEO/Copy writing
I think anything that requires physical efforts.
I’ve switched careers and I think that the answer to your question lies in asking more questions:
Ask yourself what type of business-person or personal qualities you aspire to. Do you want to be a person that helps others? A dealmaker? A builder, a buyer, a boss, a sales rep? Do you want status in your job title or where you work? Is there a person that you know or have read about that you can point to and say, “I want that.”? Etc etc.
Ask yourself what types of growth oriented businesses interest you: any answers work from a growing messy startup, to a local hospital that’s looking to invest in itself.
The point here is to narrow down the universe of options to “a type of person” at a “type of company” that feels right to you. Then go there and work to learn how it’s done. IF you can keep the ambition alive, then opportunities will present themselves and you will answer all of the above questions for yourself.
You’re asking questions about the destination when the answers lie in the journey.
But, if you want an actionable idea as an answer: go learn automation and then approach SMB business owners about cost-savings and efficiency through automation- get hired or get paid as a consultant while also learning about their business to see if it’s in a space that interests you enough to consider further investment of resources.
Good Luck.
Tech Industry.
Tech is the way to go. I’m a marketer that can code to a degree. AI is an opportunity when looking at a specific niche. I have had great success with chatbots for the travel industry. On the back of this I set up an AI agency starter package that has blown up too….works best when offering to a specific niche.
