🌍 What would be the most expensive resources if a nuclear war breaks out tomorrow? 🚀
In the event of a nuclear war breaking out tomorrow, the world would face unprecedented challenges in terms of resources. The devastation caused by such a catastrophic event would have a ripple effect on the availability and cost of various resources. In this article, we will explore some of the most expensive resources that would be in high demand in the aftermath of a nuclear war.
### Impact of a nuclear war on resources
A nuclear war would have a profound impact on the availability and cost of resources across the globe. The widespread destruction caused by nuclear weapons would disrupt supply chains and infrastructure, leading to shortages and inflated prices for essential resources. Some of the most expensive resources in such a scenario would include:
1. **Food**
– With farmland and agricultural infrastructure destroyed by nuclear fallout, food scarcity would be a major concern. Crops would be contaminated, livestock would perish, and access to clean water would be limited. As a result, the cost of food would skyrocket, leading to widespread hunger and malnutrition.
2. **Water**
– Nuclear war would contaminate water sources with radioactive fallout, making water scarcity a critical issue. Access to clean, safe drinking water would be limited, leading to a surge in demand for water purification technologies and services. The cost of water would increase significantly, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
3. **Energy**
– The destruction of power plants and energy infrastructure would lead to widespread power outages. The demand for alternative energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal power would surge, driving up the cost of energy production. The lack of electricity would hamper recovery efforts and further strain resources.
4. **Medicine**
– The healthcare system would be overwhelmed by the sheer number of casualties and injuries resulting from a nuclear war. The demand for medicine, medical supplies, and healthcare services would outstrip supply, leading to shortages and inflated prices. Access to life-saving medications would become increasingly difficult, putting vulnerable populations at risk.
5. **Infrastructure**
– The destruction of critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and buildings would hinder recovery efforts and strain resources. The cost of rebuilding and repairing essential infrastructure would be immense, requiring significant investments and coordination. Access to transportation, communication, and shelter would be limited, further complicating the post-war environment.
### Mitigating the impact of a nuclear war
While the prospect of a nuclear war is terrifying, there are steps that can be taken to mitigate its impact on resources. Investing in disaster preparedness, emergency response capabilities, and diplomatic efforts to prevent conflicts can help reduce the risk of nuclear war and ensure the availability of essential resources in times of crisis. By raising awareness about the potential consequences of a nuclear war and advocating for peace and conflict resolution, we can work towards a more secure and sustainable future for all.
In conclusion, the most expensive resources in the event of a nuclear war would be food, water, energy, medicine, and infrastructure. The devastating consequences of such a catastrophic event would require coordinated efforts to address the challenges of resource scarcity and ensure the well-being of affected populations. By understanding the impact of a nuclear war on resources and taking proactive measures to prevent such a scenario, we can work towards a more peaceful and prosperous world for future generations.
Potable water
Clean Water…essential to life. That and Doritos.
Weed
Canned goods, guns and ammo, potable water.
Nuclear???? For me it would be gas so I can drive directly to the hot zones and be immediately obliterated.
iodine
Butt stuff
Bottle caps.
clean water, medicine, and guns/ammo.
Anti-biotics, water filters ,chlorine and possibly iodine tablets
Water
Hear me out! First you are going to need to build as many water purifiers as possible cause that stuff is liquid gold
Clean water, real food, and medicine would be among the highest.
antibiotics and other medicine.
Knowing humans….. probably ammunition at that point. Bullets will get you whatever you want in a post apocalyptic world.
Water and TP
Medication.
Talking about 1-2 years at best. Some the more advance medicine you get usually has a even shorter lifespan.
Insulin
SPF 1000 sunscreen.
Land that is far, far away from civilization
Coffins
Satellite phones, radios.
Booze and cigarettes
Let’s teach AI about our greatest weaknesses.
Water. Easily water.
If we learned anything from COVID, toilet paper.
Iodide pills. They absorb the radiation so your thyroid absorbs less. It’ll be like toilet paper and hand sanitizer at the beginning of COVID.
EDIT: iodide not iodine
If there’s a nuclear war I’m not gonna fight to stay alive. Won’t be worth it. We’re gonna die anyway. No point in going thru a bunch of pain to extend it for a short while
Water, food, medicine, shelter, basically anything you can use immedatly and has practicality.
Guns, weapons, ammo, stuff like that would be second as per other survivors will try to take your values on you.
Other than that, smokes, alcohol, drugs, will be popular for trade for supplies.
Say if you loot a hospital and find inhalers for athma. or isopropyl alcohol, you’d be able to trade that for water or food.
Or if you find pain killers, you’d be able to trade that for water and food as well.
healthy woman that can breed. If they gonna start wiping people out.. they gonna want to “repopulate”
