Apart from the menuing (which there is a lot of) Nobody Saves the World is one of my favorites, apart from that It Takes Two, PlateUp, ForTheKing, Trine, Unravel… Quite a few good titles!
Borderlands 2
Overcooked, Castle Crashers, TMNT
Diablo 3
2 player ship of fools is a lot of fun.
It’s only 2 player, but It Takes Two is peak co-op. Clever puzzles and each new level has its own special gameplay mechanic.
Pico Park
Jack box games are pretty fun and don’t really require much “gaming” experience. They do require each player to have a phone/device
Nidhogg is really good when everyone sucks, or when everyone is skilled.
I can see that nobody has mentioned A Way Out yet.
I recently played Broforce with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised, super fun and easy to get into. I believe it has local coop for up to 4 players.
Try Barony on Steam. It has 4 players and its a dungeon crawler rouguelike thats like Skyrim. It’s pretty fun and I’ve always wanted to play 4 player on it. Theres also Zombie Estate that has 4 players and is pretty fun.
Assault Android Cactus is a whole lot of fun.
Castle Crashers, Dokapon Kingdom
Tricky towers, it’s tetris against each other in 3 different game modes. Race is just who can reach the a certain height the fastest, survival you have to battle against the elements and each other, or puzzle where you have to place blocks on a totem without them falling off.
Lovers in a dangerous space-time.
The title is… misleading. It is a four-player co-op where you fly a spaceship, man guns and a shield and it is silly fun shenanigans. My buddies and I loved it. Wished it was longer and more difficult.
Castle Crashers, Sacred 2, Diablo 3/4, It takes two, Minecraft, Unravel 2 (2 player) are all good in my book!
How do you feel about a little competition?Â
Towerfall Ascension is a great 4-player couch PvP game.Â
Jackbox also has a lot of party games.Â
Make Way – it’s like Ultimate Chicken Horse and Micro Machines had a baby
Streets of Rage 4, Helldivers 1, Turtles Shredder’s Revenge.
I recommend Pummel Party or maybe Castle Crashers, Boomerang Fu, The Stretchers
As someone who has game nights I have a few. Overcooked is so fun and you’re racing against a clock so you’re adrenaline really gets going (up to 4 players). Portal 2 (2 players) is fun for puzzle playing. Human: Fall Flat is pretty fun too and honesty so hilarious (up to 4 players)
For shooters:
Halo 1-4, Reach and ODST – campaigns and firefights
Rainbow 6 Vegas 1-2 – “terrorist hunt” mode
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2-3 – Spec Ops modes
Vampire Survivors!
Left for dead 2
It takes two (2 player – split
screen) Awesome.
NBA Jam
If you have alot of people over. I would recommend any Jack Box games or Use your Words (a similar style game). They are usually games where you need atleast 3 people and max out around 8 (but it depends on the game in the pack), you only need , the game, something to play it on (a tv which is connected to a game console or pc) and your phones (you connect through a browser) to play them and there are plenty of options which older folks can play. So for example drawful is just a take of pictionary. The ones I would recommend are Quiplash, Fibbage, or Drawful but to be honest most of the games in the pack are fun.
Crawl is incredible. Can play alone or with up to 4 ppl. 1 person is human, the rest are ghosts, inhabiting traps & monsters trying to kill the human. Whoever kills the human then becomesthe human, trying to stay alive long enough to level up to eventually beat the big monster & escape. It’s a constantly rotating 3v1 battle with tons of great monsters, weapons level ups, and procedurally generated Dungeons. Killer game.
I’ve never had more fun with a video game than Rock Band in college. Great, great party game.
Really hoping Epic pulls the trigger on Rock Band 5.
Favourites in my house are Move or Die, Towerfall Ascension, Gangbeasts, Tricky Towers, Sonic Allstar Racing (not the sequel), Gauntlet and Party Panic
I personally love Overcooked and PvZ is a great oldie
Mario kart
Trying to find things not already mentioned.
Stardew valley
Terraria
Palworld
Any lego games
Runbow
Speedrunners
