Hey everyone! 😊 I’m reaching out because I could really use your insights.
What strategies have you found effective for kicking off a project when that pesky fear of failure creeps in? And how do you keep the momentum going when things don’t go exactly as planned? 🤔
Here are a few techniques that I think might help:
- Break it Down: Start with small, manageable steps. This makes the whole task feel less intimidating and gives you quick wins to celebrate! 🎉
- Shift Your Mindset: Instead of seeing failure as the end of the road, view it as a learning opportunity. Each setback is just a step toward success! 🌱
- Visualize Success: Imagine yourself achieving your goal. A little positive visualization can boost your confidence and help combat fear. 🔮
- Build a Support Network: Surround yourself with positive and encouraging people. Sharing your thoughts and experiences can make a big difference! 🤗
- Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Remember that everyone struggles at times, and it’s okay to not be perfect! 💖
Your experiences matter! What techniques have worked for you to overcome that fear of failure and stay motivated? Any stories you’d like to share that might inspire others? Let’s help each other out! 🙌
One thing that helps me in buisness is always staying positive: this can be running more ads, more bills no problem just have to make more money that’s all.
I’ve been in deep shit before but I’ve never really stressed about it or cared enough to have any problems really phase me.
So mainly just never think to much about any failure or go deep into problems because that gets you no where.
Eventually you will get used to it. I’m always having financial problems in buisness but I always find a way. Also have a mentality like Harvey Spector think that your the shit and no matter how big the problem is it’s nothing just another day.
Due diligence and market demand research, which are the first casualties of wantrepreneur ‘just do it’ dogma.
Next is the wantrepreneur myth of doing the same things and expecting different results under the bullshit of not quitting. Again and again and again newbies post here about crapping out a site and/or a product — without so much as reading a book or free online article — then asking here how long do they wait in dead silence.
Maybe this isn’t clear: You Are Newbies. That your ‘newbie tingle’ steered you unerringly through one hundred major decisions and one thousand minor ones *just isn’t an option.*
If you do not have many tests ready *before you launch* you had better expect to lose your shit one dreadful minute of market silence after launch. This garbage of optimistic blundering and abject naïveté is fine up to a point. That point being passed at the first post to a forum all wide-eyed and wondering when you launch first, ask questions later. First question being “What in the hell just happened?!”
You are new to business. You might be new to forums. You are not new to reality. Taking a blind fling didn’t get you anywhere anybody should be surprised by, cupcakes.
That research and due diligence so very many thought of as procrastination pre-launch, yeah …time to start. Now that you have a lot of idle time on your hands, this shouldn’t be burdensome.
[12 Surprising A/B Test Results to Stop You Making Assumptions](https://unbounce.com/a-b-testing/shocking-results/) I will repeat: Not having a test regime and experiment methodology ready before launch isn’t helping quiet your nerves any. (Did that need the “Spoiler” tag?)
Stick to the process.
For me, the only thing that really works is to stop overthinking and just start doing. Seriously, just do it. The more you think about it, the more reasons you’ll find why it might not work. So, I focus on taking action and worry less about all the “what ifs.”
No technique. Just an understanding that failure is part of success
If you want to become entrepreneur you would need to accept failure and learn the mistake from failure to become a better person. if you fear of failure then dont start at all
The entrepreneurship life always starts off patchy. Major ups and Major downs! Ultimately if you love your product and believe in it, then failure is just a bumpy ride to perfection. What helped me get started was following my passion and surrounding myself with like minded people ( who ultimately also joined the team) because the overwhelming positivity will help you drive even if it’s a bad day for you. That pushed me (and with a bit of guidance) to leave my job and drive my business today. As it stands we are still in a pre-seed round but the years of grind enabled me to handle these ups and downs with competency and solution based mentality 😊 you’ll get there! And most importantly, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
Feel the emotions but know it’s temporary. Always be super optimistic a focus on the next step
