Believe it or not, so many people feel the exact same way you do, myself included! I’m 24, don’t really know what I’m doing, and thats okay. As long as you’re persistent and always trying new things you’ll figure it out. There is no set timeline for accomplishing certain things in life, people go at their own pace. Don’t be so hard on yourself, take it day by day, set goals for yourself, and most importantly remember that there is more to life than work. Find happiness in other things, take on a hobby, spend time with family and friends. You are only given one opportunity to live this life. Try to enjoy it while you’re here 🙂
I am about your age and I have a degree in the hard sciences. I don’t make six figures but I do reasonably well working remote as a data analyst. It does require math and computer science skills.
You said you’re in community college, what are you studying? You listed a lot of things that you aren’t good at, but what are things that you either are good at or things that you like doing? Thinking about those questions will probably help you figure out what direction to go.
Try not to worry so much about what other people are doing and try to identify a couple of things that either you are good at or that you like doing (because if you like doing them it will be easy to spend enough time practicing that you’ll become good at it). Then, start looking around for careers which pay decently well (as in, not necessarily a six-figure starting salary but enough to live on), and which utilize those skills.
I’m 30 have no savings, most people I know get paid more (or so they say), people always inflate their wages. Even if they have money they find other areas of their life to be pissed about. I just started a new career it doesn’t pay great while I learn but it’s a start. Just enjoy being young! Your 20s is your decade to explore jobs, explore yourself and become who you want to be. Don’t sweat it you’ll be fine man 🙂
Do you have a Degree ? If so what in. What have your jobs been out of college ? Willing to relocate ?
What’s more important to you >>> young adults already making 6 figure salary or have the ability to work remotely << Making 6 $$ Figures or working remote ?
Lol “I can’t count or do science, not a great speaker, and terrible with tech stuff. What job should I do?”
Fry cook or backroom stock person. Garbage man too.
