When it comes to storytelling in video games, Red Dead Redemption 2 sets the bar high. The game follows the story of Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang, as they navigate the challenges of the wild west. The narrative is filled with twists and turns, and the characters are so well-developed that you can’t help but become invested in their journey.
The emotional depth of the story and the characters is what makes Red Dead Redemption 2 stand out. It’s a game that will pull at your heartstrings and stay with you long after you’ve finished playing.

One of the most impressive aspects of Red Dead Redemption 2 is its open world. The game features a sprawling landscape filled with breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife. Whether you’re riding through the mountains or exploring a bustling town, the attention to detail in Red Dead Redemption 2 is truly remarkable.
The level of immersion that the open world provides is unparalleled. From hunting and fishing to interacting with NPCs, every aspect of the game feels alive and interactive. It’s a world that you’ll want to get lost in again and again.

most telltale games. Or until a rediscover it a year or two later
Death Stranding. Part of me wants to put off progressing the story for as long as possible just to finish building all the roads and stuff, but another part of me is thinking “just hurry up and finish it so you can focus on LAD: Infinite Wealth”. Honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with the game as much as I did.
Nier Automata
Friday the 13th before hackers and moders ruined the game. Launch was so fun
Witcher 3 for me.
Not because of the main story but because of the awesome amount of interesting side quests, monster lore, item mechanic like crafting and durability.
The open world is also well-designed, I roamed around on Rosh and not using the fast travel feature just because I like seeing the wide variety of different territory that was designed and the different creatures that inhabited them. Running into a small quest like a group of bandits or causing an actual quest to show up also enhance my enjoyment.
Definitely that one game which makes me hooked on open world genre.
Outer wilds. Exploring the puzzles of the solar system and how it all ties together. I wish I could wipe my mind and start over fresh again. Luckily the DLC helps scratch the itch
Disco Elysium. I loved the story of the protagonist, and I played him with a redemption arc. Such amazing writing and story.
Portal. At the time it was so innovative, and has really only been surpassed by portal 2. I figured more games would take a similar approach. But finishing that game, with Still Alive playing, was so sweet.
Spiritfarer. Such a gut punching story wrapped around a cute cozy game. Especially with all the added lore from the art book. My wife and I played this couch co-op, and we were both in tears at the end of Stella’s journey
Mafia DE
Persona 5. Was the background to my life for like 3 months.
Hollow Knight
Titanfall 2
Nothing compares. I wish there was a third game
Sekiro
Any games you guys are looking forward to coming out this year
I get it with many games. Currently it’s Baldurs Gate III. I’m going to miss playing it but I am definitely ready to be done with it (at least until my next playthrough)
Outer Wilds. There’s no playing for the first time again.
Cyberpunk 2077! The world, the lore, the gameplay and the builds. I was sad when I got to the end 😔 It was so much fun trying the different ways to handle the combat scenarios and some dialogue choices. I can’t wait for the next game 😏
Ghosts of Tsushima
Bully was a good game I miss. The warriors as well. Rockstar makes bangers
Wow classic. going into raids with 40 people. getting your worldbuffs and fighting wars with the other factions cause of the buffs. it was a extreme time in the game. it was tiring but also a amazing experience.
Elden ring, literally consumed like a month of my life
I thought red dead redemption 2 and then i opened the post. Truly an amazing game
It was PUBG for me. My friends and I were having so much fun, it had so much jank but it was fucking hilarious. It’s never been the same. We still play Warzone occasionally but it’s very… serious, in comparison. Having a mix of everyone randomly exploding while slowly driving into a garage while also having awesome moments of getting 20 kills, landing headshots with snipers hundreds of meters away, and getting a chicken dinner just hits different.
Any game honestly when you try to attain 100% achievements. It makes you play the game in its entirety and you really play and explore all the game has to offer. Upon completion I am left with a feeling of guilt and I will miss playing said game when I move onto the next.
Witcher 3
Xenoblade chronicles 2. The combat was so good once it got going, it sucks that they gimped the experience so hard until late game/ng+. It’s one of those games I wish I could forget it so I could play it again fresh.
Mass Effect. I’d just fallen in love with the series and the characters playing it for the first time. When I knew I’d done all I could with it, I knew I was going to miss it until I replay it one day in the future.
Yakuza/Like A Dragon
RDR2
MGSV
Basically lengthy story driven games where you sink tons of hours into it are the ones I miss most.
Yakuza series.
Mass Effect trilogy. I guess i could play it again and do things differently. But my one play through was so damn chaotic I don’t think I could ever top it
After 100% Red Dead Redemption 2, I remember sitting there thinking
“Man, I’m gonna miss these characters and this world”
Divinity: Original Sin 2
You get to the final fight and what music starts playing? Is it some intense metal inspired number? Is it an operatic, gothic inspired latin aria?
No, it’s a quiet and somber take on a track that’s been playing throughout your adventure. You’re here, the end of the journey. This isn’t so much a climax as a farewell. Goodbye to Rivellon, to the Red Prince, to Ifan, to Lohse, to Sebille, to Fane, to Beast, to Malady, to the entire supporting cast and to you.
And you wish it wasn’t so.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps – downloaded again yesterday and the emotions from Prologue… damn I missed it so much, and I will once again I think, even after 100%
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Every second in that game was amazing, couldn’t get enough of it after 3 playthroughs and all achievements, but time to move on to new stories.
Half life 2 back in the day
RDR2. Online was bad. Was mad when I finished the story because it was so good and I wanted to keep playing.
Subnautica
GTA San Andreas
