You’re such a <insert zodiac sign>
I never read books. I only read when forced to. I haven’t since school
ED: I mean people who say this and are proud of the fact they don’t read.
“I’m real.” Like they have to go above and beyond to tell people they aren’t fake. Which usually means they’re fake and drama filled.
When they say “Chipol-te” instead of “Chipot-le”
Evolution is just a theory, it’s not proven science.
“Give Respect, Get Respect”
Because no one who says that can ever do the first part
“I am an alpha male”…. okk byyee
“Only God can judge me”
‘You’re either with us or against us.’
Well I had been sitting over here stewing in my utter and complete apathy toward you, but if you’re insisting on imposing your black-and-white, no-nuance-whatsoever worldview on everyone else I guess I’ll have to go with option B.
“Vaccines cause autism & people who got the Covid one will get cancer in a few years.”
“I do my own research”
Sure. So does my 7y/o. Y’all are both just watching YouTube videos.
People that don’t want solutions. They just wanna be angry.
“I don’t see you as disabled,” even though I’m a disabled person.
While well-meaning, it shows that they are trying or willing to ignore my experiences as a disabled person and the societal inequities and challenges that impact my everyday life. It is part of my life experience and should not be glossed over or overlooked.
“I seen it”
Treating service workers like shit
I have an incredible new business opportunity for you!
“I’m just a very direct person!”
Being overly sexual in contexts where it’s not called for. Turning innocent statements into innuendos constantly. Generally making it clear that their genitals are running the show instead of their brains.
“If you can’t handle me at my worst…” etc. Yeah, so you’re a train wreck drama queen, eh?
“I’m just saying what we’re all thinking” immediately after saying some racist bullshit.
“Well that’s their *job*” like okay Nancy, remind me what your job is again? is it gossiping around the office and making the young hires miserable that they’re not included in your clique like high school? Because you’re not doing *your job* either.
So, i was conversating with this female–
I judge you and find you lacking brains
The earth is flat.
Nucular
“We don’t need to return the cart, it’s the cart pushers job to get them.”
“I don’t wash my hands”
“As a mom … ”
Because it’s usually followed by something that can apply to anyone.
“As a mom, I want clean air and water.”
“I think its important to be kind to animals” Makes me judge the person in a very positive light.
“I’m a CEO” <they are 26 years old>
“My ex-girlfriend is crazy” <they say this about every single one of their exes>
“I tell it how it is” <I’m an a**hole>
“You can’t take a joke, you’re too sensitive” <also an a**hole>
“Leave your trash at the table sweetie, it’s the workers’ job to clean it up 🥰”
“No one wants to work anymore.” Or well, anything along those lines.
When telling a story they put the persons race or gender into it when it isn’t needed. I noticed older people tend to do it more.
If they judge a person on their race instead of their opinions
“In the real world”. Mfer have I been living in a simulation?
“People just don’t want to work anymore.”
“I’m a Scientologist”. I would want nothing to do with them at that point. It’s a dangerous cult, not a religion
Men who refer to women as “females” and people who “just tell it like it is. No, you’re just an asshole.
“I don’t like music.”
What!?
It wasn’t any certain genre, it was just music in general.
“I could care less”
“Don’t you miss how easy and stress-free childhood was?”
Specifically the “don’t *you”* part, where they just assume childhood was easy for *everybody.*
