Freakonomics – from the authors of the book. Long-running podcast with plenty of interesting and timely topics, well discussed.
Revisionist History
This is probably my favorite podcast ever. Every episode looks at something from the past, a person, event, story, idea, etc., and tries to re-examine it with a new lens, with our current information, etc. There are so many episodes and so many interesting things to learn about.
It’s old at this point but Alice Isn’t Dead. It’s a story podcast being told via the medium of the main character talking into the CB radio of her truck as she searches across America for her supposedly dead wife who she’s convinced is still alive
I’ve listened to it like 4 times through from start to finish

With the Perrys- A christian life podcast
I’ve had it- It’s two women griping about things that they’ve “had it” with. and it is HILARIOUS. It really gives me a good laugh every single episode because they are two lifelong best friends who are always poking fun at each other. Highly recommend this one!
-Useless Information Podcast
A history podcast about interesting old news stories. One of the few that actually finds stories that are new to me.

City Lights, about arts and culture in Atlanta, USA
Gastropod- food science and culture. It’s very easy listening.
Youâre Wrong About touches on true crime, but itâs about misremembered history and moral panics, and they sometimes deal with the way crime intersects with those stories. More generally, they focus on things that the media got wrong, like the Clinton-Lewinski scandal (and how a 22 year old got more blame than the president⌠and also how his wife somehow got more blame than him), or the DARE program (guess what we keep funding that doesnât work?).
The Film Reroll is an actual play podcast where a group of actors use RPGs to improve their way through famous movies.
5â4 does deal with crimes, but not in a true crime way. Theyâre focusing on Supreme Court decisions, and they talk about the background of the cases leading up to them.
The Retro Video Store. Itâs amusing takes on movies.
Shagged, Married, annoyed- its a comedian and his wife chatting shot about lofe, marriage, kids etc. Very funny
Edit: changes name as had a typo! (Changed enjoyed to annoyed!)
Citations needed. Itâs about the way politics and media interact with each other. I always learn something new and it forces me to confront ideas I picked up subconsciously and never gave much thought to.
Behind The Bastards – podcast about the biggest assholes in history. Connected podcast is Behind The Police, which discusses the history of policing in the US.
