Hey everyone! đŸ‘‹ Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’ve sold a company after running it for years and now have around $100k, but you’re not sure what to do next? Well, that’s where I am right now! đŸ¤¯
I’ve been a writer and marketer for as long as I can remember, and after trying my hand at freelancing and running a company, I find myself at a bit of a crossroads. I’ve been researching, reading, and brainstorming, but I’m still struggling to come up with a new business idea that can truly stand out in today’s competitive market.
I’m all about online businesses and have a solid background in SEO. So, I’m wondering – what are some possible online options for starting a new business with around $100k? If you have any insights or suggestions, I would love to hear them!
One idea that I’ve been exploring is starting an e-commerce store that focuses on niche products or services catering to a specific audience. This could potentially help me leverage my marketing skills and SEO knowledge to create a successful online business.
What do you think? Any other ideas or tips for starting a new business with a decent budget? Let’s brainstorm together! đŸ’¡#StartupFunding #DigitalMarketing #EntrepreneurLife
Maybe you could look into leveraging cheap local labor. I get emails from Frank Kern I read once in awhile. He jumps from trend to trend and his new shtick is teaching people how to leverage AI or selling AI software. Maybe you could have local employees edit AI-written blogs or something.
Firstly, congratulations on selling off your business! Not everyone gets to that point and I hope you see it as a success.
If I were you, I’d take some time off to journal and reflect. I went through a phase where I similarly wanted to figure myself out – reading books, watching lots of motivational shorts/movies….
But at the end of the day, I had to take action and try new things before landing on one. I admit I’m still in the process of figuring things out… but it gets easier the more I do.
First of congratulations on selling your business.
I mean it’s a new phase for you so i would say take some time off, keep doing what you’re doing right now if you don’t feel super energetic to hop on something new right now. And finding a good idea right now for SaaS isn’t as complicated anymore with AI these days but it’s all up to how you feel and what you decide
Congrats on your journey, I mean you’ve come so far, and it’s quite understandable to feel stuck after such a significant transition, but your experience in writing, marketing, SEO, and running a remote business positions you well for various online business opportunities.
For example, with your skill in writing and marketing, you could go into Content Creation and Monetization, perhaps starting a blog, you could even start a Digital Marketing Agency. Teaching an online course on how to make it as a freelance is also great stuff, you could end up getting some mentees and coach them. Online Courses and Coaching.
Location isn’t really that important when it comes to online businesses.
Hahah I did the exact same thing.
Now I’m doing private label supplements for entrepreneurs
I quite envy you.
Congratulations on your successful journey! With $100k, consider investments like stocks, real estate, or start funding a new business idea to sustain growth. Financial planning and smart investments will secure your future.
Location does’t matter when it comes to online business.
That’s not that much money and you might consider keeping your foot to the floor, whatever you decide to do.
I’d suggest repeating the last business, and sell that as well. You should be able to build it faster the second time around. Approach it more as a manager if it was a self employment venture the first time.
How about starting a personal brand or joining the build in public movement?
It’s fun and effective even if you spend $0 on it. You can offer to help other freelancers achieve what you did for example. I tried it and it’s now my business, plus it’s fun as heck lol
Congrats on the sell!
Another company
Congrats!
The best thing to do in my opinion with 100k is to invest it in few start-ups also stocks
I’m an email marketer in india. Would you like to do some business together?
Just curious how you go about selling your business.
Congratulations on the awesome sale! Whatever you decide to pursue next, I suggest choosing something that you feel passionate about—something that you deeply connect with. This way, you’ll be more motivated to grow it from the ground up.
