#BobaShopSafety #UnsafeDrinks #UnsanitaryConditions
Hey everyone! 👋 Have you ever found yourself in a sticky situation at work where you’re torn between your job and your morals? Well, I need some advice on what to do in my current predicament.
So, I work at this Boba shop that has taken a turn for the worse ever since one of the owners left. The remaining owner is cutting corners left and right, resulting in unsanitary conditions and unsafe drinks being served to customers. 😱
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been going on:
– Expired supplies ✖️
– Foul smells in sinks 🤢
– Tainted drinks 🥤
– Owner making drinks on the floor 🤯
I’ve tried bringing up my concerns, but the owner is stubborn and refuses to see the truth. I even got yelled at for suggesting we throw out some bad brown sugar! 😔
I’m planning on quitting soon, but in the meantime, I need to figure out what to do about the unsafe situation at the Boba shop. Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
Possible Solutions:
– Document everything with photos or videos 📸
– Contact the Health Department 🏥
– Consider reporting the issue to the local authorities 🚓

Anonymous tip to the health department requesting a no – warning inspection immediately.
I found some info on how to report food safety issues to a couple of agencies:
https://www.foodsafetynews.com/2021/09/heres-how-to-report-your-usa-food-problem-directly-to-usda-or-fda/
Since the owner might be getting favors from the health inspector, you’ll want to mention that they are friends and what you suspect. Mention this briefly as a reason for why you’re contacting the agencies, so it doesn’t sound like you have a personal grudge (people that go into lengthy stories can sound that way, fair or not). If you don’t know the inspector’s name then give a physical description. This should ensure that a different person is sent.
Contact the health department and report both the inspector and the Boba shop.
At this point, you need to report him to the department of health and safety (ASSUMING YOURE IN THE US). the store may close down. You may be out of a job.
this could poison the community. You need to write down the health inspector that is ignoring these things and then use his name as the agent involved. Take photos of the rotten foods/liquids. If you can purchase a litmus test as well.
This measures the pH balance of liquids. Milk becomes acidic as it expires, then developing chunks. So if you test the acidity of these liquids you can raise that concern as well to DOH.
When you report these things, having ample proof can invoke action. So yeah at this point its either you do what you think is right, or you keep serving poisoned drinks to people. Eventually it will catch up to the company.
And the owner will more than likely lie and say “i never knew they were doing this.” but your reports will help keep track of this…
Call the health dept. They live to shut down dirty restaurants/cafes.
Only one solution – contact Gordon Ramsay
I mean, as an employee, it is your job to keep the store clean. Sure the owner can take on the bigger stuff like machine upkeep, or if there is an expensive machine that only they want to clean, but any kind of cleaning is your job. So that’s not an issue even though you say it is. If food is spoiling and going bad, that is on the owner. You say the health inspector and him are friends. Call the health department again and say someone else should go. That you’ve gotten sick from the place twice now and clearly something is going on there.
Welcome to the health department 😂 one time they inspected a place I worked at and it was disgusting I did my best to clean the place because I was the only one doing it health inspection came in got a B then the owner called them back and got an A and when I say it was foul as fuck please believe what I’m saying the health inspection in the country is an absolute joke
Call the health inspector.
Call the local news. They’ll buy drinks and run analysis on them. They’ll also likely hidden camera the owner
WHAT CITY IS THIS SO I DONT DIE!!?!?!?
If you have a local news station that does investigations of businesses, you could take pictures and make an anonymous tip to them, including the fact that the health inspector had been there twice and glazed over the issues.
Any way can post a Yelp review?
Go to the local news if the health inspector is corrupt. Post signs on the door to the shop as well when the boss is not there. Bad dairy products/allergen contamination or mold from improper cleaning can kill someone.
