#MastersInEcon #FutureEmployment #SkillsDevelopment
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m gearing up to start my Masters in Econ and I want to make sure I focus on the right things to stand out in terms of future employment. 🌟 Here’s a little background on where I’m coming from:
– I’ve been working in banking as an underwriter for 8 years
– I did my undergrad in Finance
– Currently taking upper level micro, upper level macro, and econometrics classes as a non-degree student
– Teaching myself R and Python, and dabbling in data analytics courses
– Considering second semester calculus and more statistics courses
So what else should I be diving into to really excel in this new chapter? Any specific readings or resources you would recommend? Let’s hear your thoughts! 📚💡🤔
One possible solution could be to also focus on practical applications of econometric techniques and data analytics in real-world scenarios. By gaining hands-on experience and showcasing your ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems, you’ll be well-prepared for future job opportunities in the field. 📊🔍
