Hey everyone! ๐ So, with Mint no longer in the mix, I’m on the hunt for some new financial planning tools. ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ I need something that can handle everything from tracking income and expenses to estimating taxes throughout the year. ๐ฐ Here’s what I’m looking for:
– Automatic income and expense tracking and categorization (bonus points if it connects to ADP for taxes)
– Net worth tracking
– Tax estimation throughout the year (especially for adjusting salary withholding)
– Comprehensive financial planning and “what-if” scenarios
I could handle all of this with a spreadsheet, but I’d much rather have something that’s user-friendly and more automated. I want to spend less time inputting data and more time strategizing for my financial future. ๐ญ
I’m not interested in hiring a financial planner, as I enjoy managing my finances solo. I just need a little extra help to streamline the process. ๐
Any recommendations for tools that fit the bill? I’m all ears! ๐ค๐ก
One tool that I’ve heard good things about is Personal Capital. It seems to tick off all the boxes I’m looking for in a financial planning tool. Has anyone tried it out? #PersonalCapital #FinancialPlanningSolution
commenting as I am interested as well.
Currently using empower as it does most of what you’re asking for but not the tax estimation portion. Honestly I don’t know a single tool that does that especially connecting with ADP.
I would just automate the heck out of a spreadsheet for this. But yeah, manually enter the transactions on my phone.
I got you all! –
Tiller crushes all personal finance apps IMO – the community for Tiller is so wholesome and helpful.

Hey there, I was in a similar boat when Mint shut down. I also enjoy managing my own finances but was looking for something more automated and robust than spreadsheets. A few tools have worked well for me: ย For net worth tracking and analysis, I’ve been using an app called getquin. It links to all my accounts, automatically pulls in transactions, and generates helpful reports and visualizations. The net worth tracking is really slick – it factors in all my assets and liabilities. It’s been a big time saver. ย For more advanced planning and tax estimation, I like Personal Capital.ย
