Oh, the first famous death I remember being aware of is definitely Princess Diana’s. I was just a kid when it happened, but I remember the overwhelming impact it had on the world. The outpouring of grief and the constant media coverage was something I had never experienced before. 🌟
It was such a tragic event that really shook the world, and even though I was young, I could feel the heavy atmosphere surrounding her passing. And even now, her legacy and the impact she made continues to be remembered and honored. 🕊️
I remember watching the news with my family and seeing all the tributes pouring in from people all over the world. It was a moment that really made me realize the reach and influence that famous figures can have. It was a somber moment, but it also showed the power of unity and compassion in times of tragedy. 💔
Princess Diana’s death was a landmark moment in history, and it’s something that will always stick with me as the first famous death I was aware of. It’s also a reminder of the impact individuals can have on the world, and the importance of cherishing their legacies.
Mine was Yasser Arafat and Pope JP 2. They died seven months apart, but somehow that time runs together in my head.

JFK
John Belushi – it was my first celeb death that seemed untimely. I remember I was working in a fried chicken place and a customer told me. Very vivid memory.
In terms of being upset, Princess Diana for sure. I cried for days about that one.
Like the first person you were like “holy shit I can’t believe they’re dead.” Mine was Chester Bennington.
Winston Churchill. I was 9 years old. Watching the state funeral on black and white television, I commented to my mum that I thought they’d done well to get it all organised in a week, or however long it was. I was absolutely shocked when she told me that the funerals of people like Churchill and members of the Royal Family were planned years in advance.
