Hey folks! 🚀 As someone who has navigated the challenging waters of finding product market fit at Ycombinator startups, I’ve compiled a list of 5 essential tools that have been absolute game-changers in our journey. These tools have been instrumental in helping us listen, build, and iterate towards achieving PMF. Let’s dive in:
- Logrocket: Watch user sessions in real-time to gain valuable insights and understand user behavior.
- Sentry: Receive immediate alerts for any app issues or bugs, ensuring proactive problem-solving.
- ProductlyAI: Log feedback, run analysis, and iterate based on customer input for continuous improvement.
- Intercom: Facilitate seamless customer communication and feedback collection through easy conversation channels.
- Slack Connect: Stay connected with customers in real-time, enabling quick feedback loops and constant interaction.
These tools have truly revolutionized our PMF journey, and I believe they can benefit other product teams as well. Have you used any other tools that have been instrumental in your quest for product market fit? Share your insights and let’s help each other succeed! 🌟 #Teamwork #SharingIsCaring #ProductSuccess
Nice list. But any lessons from all your experience?
This is a very technical approach to finding PMF, but it could work. The typical startup founder is thinking around the clock about their business and how to grow it sustainably for the long term. What they often need to remember is their (core) users. They either pitch the product/service from a technical point of view or stop listening once they start talking. The most ‘dumb,’ most expensive, and most common mistake founders can make is to pitch to their users when you should shut your mouth and open your ears.
This is what I like to call ‘[The Startup Blindspot](https://www.theflawedfounder.com/p/the-startup-blindspot)*.’* Founders love their idea(s) and have a blurred view of reality. The reality is precisely what your users say, ask, and beg you to build. You can’t fake or escape reality. You’re either user-driven, or you aren’t driven at all.
nice. which yc companies?
Solid list! Intercom and Slack Connect are game-changers.
Many thanks for this list. Very interesting
