#PaidTimeOff #TimeOffAccrual #EmploymentBenefits
Hey all, I could really use your help with decoding my paid time off accruals in my contract. 🤔 Here’s the scoop:
– According to my contract, as a second-year employee on 7/1, I should be getting 80 hours of PTO.
– However, I’m seeing only 0.2335 hours accrued, which doesn’t add up to what I was expecting. 😕
– I’m feeling stressed and frustrated because I’ve spent so much time trying to figure this out, and it seems like I’m working more than I’ll actually get in paid time off.
Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on here? I’d really appreciate any insights or advice you might have.
One possible solution that comes to mind is to reach out to HR or a supervisor to clarify the PTO accrual process and ensure everything is being calculated accurately.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! 💼🔍
Start of 2nd year or end of 2nd year?
I’d read that as not getting 80 hours until you’ve completed your 2nd year of employment. So a hire date of 2022 would be you being in the 2-4 year range.
You probably won’t see any change to your accrual until your next payroll is processed. Usually these changes are made for the first full pay period that begins after the anniversary date.
You would need to speak to the company. I worked at one location that on your second year you started accruing time for 80 hours, but you didn’t get to use that 80 hours until the end of your second year.
Also depending on when your pay period starts and ends, you may not see the change to accrual for 1-2 payrolls.
