Hey everyone! 🙌
Have you ever tried to do something in a community or platform only to hear, "We…don’t do that here"? It can be frustrating, right? Let’s dive into this a bit!
When you hear someone say, "We don’t do that here," it often stems from a few common pain points:
-
Lack of Clarity: Sometimes, the rules or guidelines aren’t clear. Users feel lost when they try to contribute or create something.
-
Culture Shock: Each community has its vibe and unique way of doing things, which can lead to misunderstandings among new users.
- Fear of Rejection: It can be discouraging when you put effort into something, only to be told it doesn’t fit. This can stifle creativity and participation.
But don’t lose hope! Here are some possible solutions to make things better:
-
Clear Guidelines: Having a clearly laid-out set of community guidelines can help everyone understand what’s acceptable. 📜
-
Open Discussions: Regular check-ins or forums where members can share ideas, frustrations, or ask questions about community practices can foster better understanding. 💬
- Mentorship Programs: Pairing new users with seasoned members can offer guidance and help newcomers navigate the community better. 🤝
I’m curious about your experiences! Have you ever faced a situation where someone told you, "We…don’t do that here?" How did it affect your participation or creativity? Feel free to share your thoughts or any tips you might have!
Sharing our experiences can make a huge difference in shaping community culture. Let’s keep the conversation going!
Am I reading this correctly? They expect you to make a purchase??
Please tell me you ghosted? Lmao.
Send them your amazon wishlist, and instruct them to make a purchase of a minimum of three items to proceed.
I just love *”…I will* ***not be able*** *to partake in this assessment.”*
😂😂😂
I can imagine them getting the response and thinking, *”What? Why? What’s preventing OP from partaking?”*
Only the most desperate and under-qualified candidates will complete this assessment… but maybe that is who they want to hire.
Scam af. Lord.
“In order to see how you think, we need to see how you think.” Well, that clarifies the process.
I wonder if anyone’s bought something, then promptly returned it, giving the reason as how horrible the experience was.
I’d say this would be acceptable if they didn’t require a purchase or gave you a giftcard to do so. You can pretty much half ass what they’re asking and say what they want to hear.
Because everyone looking for a job has the time and money for this assessment.
I would start making stuff up.
“When I bought the product, the price changed twice between adding to my cart and buying it.”
“My tracking number for shipping was inaccurate and showed up at my neighbor’s door.”
“The product arrived broken. I’ve figured out 3 ways to drastically improve this product in terms of materials needed, durability, and aesthetics.”
I’m not against assignments to test people’s qualifications, but this is just such a pathetic scam. It’s even poorly written with spelling and grammar problems, a hallmark of scams. You submitted an application and got this back? They really think people are this stupid.
Suck my whole entire ass. I don’t work for free
That’s a scam.
The funny part is… I think with this job market and economy they will find someone willing to go along with this.
The English is surprisingly good. Almost can’t tell it’s a scam. This one will get somebody
NAME AND SHAME THIS COMPANY OR PERSON!
Making someone buy something as an ‘assessment’ has GOT to be all sorts of illegal.
It’s pure idea theft
Why do you blank the company name out?
Why don’t you name these scammers?
