Hey everyone, does anyone else feel like every job application is just a big guessing game? I mean, why can’t employers just tell us what days they want us to work instead of playing this mysterious game of “guess the schedule”? It’s frustrating, to say the least!
I’ve been on the job hunt for 2 years now, and every interview seems to have some sort of hurdle that I just can’t seem to clear. Whether it’s about start dates, work schedules, or just the way I answer a question, there’s always something that messes it all up. 🤦♂️
But here’s a possible solution that might help us all out:
– Be upfront about your availability and any scheduling limitations during the initial interview.
– Ask for clarification on the work schedule if it’s not clearly communicated.
– Consider setting up a trial period to see if the schedule works for both parties before committing long-term.
Let’s share our experiences and maybe we can all learn from each other’s struggles! 🙌 #JobHuntingCommunity #SupportEachOther
If you truly are available anytime, then say you have open availability. If you’re currently employed, any decent company knows to plan on a two weeks’ notice.
You really can’t ever answer that you’re open?
Edit: Why do people downvote instead of engaging? I asked this sincerely. Do they really not allow you say that you’re open as to start date and days and hours? Why not just answer me?
Edit2: Whoever you are – I wouldn’t hire you either. Good luck with that attitude.
