Asking the Question:
Given the lack of support and resources in [SG]’s new role, the question arises:
“Am I set up for failure?”
Conclusion:

I’m not even an HR person. I would do these things:
1. Build org charts
2. Talk to leadership about their staffing needs and ideas. Post new jobs as needed.
3. Work on employee handbook and onboarding documents. Document job descriptions, etc. lots of documentation.
*in my mind, you need to figure out what leadership want and need
If you’ve worked in HR for 8 years why can you not start running things yourself? Figuring things out?
