Even if you have 8 years experience and multiple jobs – pair it down to one page.
No one needs an 8 page resume. No one will read an 8 page resume. It usually is a red flag of multiple things. 2 page tops with all the important shit on the front page.
You’re talking like the manager throwing away an 8 page resume is a bad thing.
this is such a linkedin post
I would have done the same! If a candidate can’t summarize their experience in one page, how can you trust them to handle the job?
8 pages insane. All my life I’ve been told that 2 pages is a *maximum*. This person quadrupled the maximum length and expected it to work out
I have two Masters degrees, a couple of board positions and over thirty years experience in multiple industries and several different countries. My resume is two pages long.
Anyone writing eight pages is either an egomaniac or cannot focus on relevant and important data. Either way I don’t want them on my time.
