Dear recruiters 📣
Can we please have a chat about using myworkdayjobs.com for job applications? As a job seeker, I have some concerns that I believe many others share as well. Here are a few reasons why I think we should reconsider using this platform:
– Creating a separate account for each application is time-consuming and frustrating 😡
– Re-entering the same information repeatedly wastes valuable time ⏳
– Companies that don’t prioritize applicant experience may not prioritize employee experience either 🤔
So, what can we do to make the application process smoother and more user-friendly for everyone involved? Here are a few possible solutions:
– Implement a universal application system that saves applicant information for future use
– Streamline the process by reducing the number of steps required to apply
– Offer alternative application methods to accommodate a wider range of preferences
Let’s work together to make the job application process more efficient and respectful of everyone’s time. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome! 💭✨

Any company that wants your resume and for you manually fill out other shit is a menace. Actually full of all the ‘other shit’. All you need is a doc or pdf of my resume.
Workday is a fucking menace that needs to be stopped.
I’d rather deal with Workday over ICIMS for an ATS system. There was a job I recently applied for that used ICIMS and the system decided to read my work experience on my resume in probably the most illogical order possible. ICIMS decided that the oldest job I had listed on my resume should be listed first, the most recent listed as the 2nd most recent, and the 2nd most recent job as the oldest job. I had to sit there and enter all my work experience from scratch to fix it.
At least Workday, even if you have to create an account every time, actually parses the resume correctly and puts your work experience in chronological order from most recent to oldest. And out of all the ATS systems I’ve used, ICIMS is the worst with its outdated User Interface that looks like you’re filling out an Adobe PDF document.
>Any company that doesn’t care about wasting someone’s time is not a company I would want to work for.
Unfortunately they’re completely fine with that, too many candidates to pick from regardless.
Yeah, that thing is annoying as hell.
If you use Gmail you can create new “accounts” by using email+hiringcompanyname@gmail.com since Gmail ignores anything after the + but still….
Why can’t it be a single log in with the option to fill out all of the standard resume information, and then modify depending on the job application?
I get that it’s a pain but Workday is probably one of the more widely used HR tools by Corporations. Maybe there’s some configuration that would need to be done to make that experience better by that Coporation but I’m not sure how successful your job hunt will be if you just eliminate that platform altogether.
One of my former employers used Workday for many of their employee portal needs, Benefits, Paystub, medical, work performance tracking, etc. It was great for internal things. But now that I’m looking for work. Workday can suck a bag of D’s. Luckily it’s ability to scan my resume is actually pretty good, so hasn’t been that bad. I haven’t needed to manually fill it out again. Just upload my resume and it scans the pdf and auto-populates. It’s the constant rejections. I don’t know if a human is seeing it or if it’s AI is auto-filter and rejecting.
Wow, OP has a very low tolerance for pain. I’ve gone through far more discomfort to land a job. Maybe using Workday is a subtle form of candidate screening?
Commence downvotes!
It’s not recruiter who use it, it’s employers 😁
Recruiters have nothing to do with that. It is the choice made by high level decision-makers.
Myworkday isn’t just an application portal, it is a whole ecosystem that supports finance, planning, workforce management, various integrations, etc. The platform costs a lot of money already and enabling application portal incurs basically no additional costs at some point.
I hate applying to myworkday jobs, but my and your dissatisfaction and inconvenience does not affect the company at the slightest. If the company already uses Myworkday for other purposes, it’s just cheaper and easier to use it for recruiting too.
Yeah I’m planning on stop using that site aswell I probably have 15 different accounts now
I’m fine with it *if* it has the apply with LinkedIn button and auto fills all of the career fields.
I aint filling that shit in. I’ll check the boxes that say I don’t need sponsorship and am over 18.
