#TransplantTheory #AvatarNavi #RandomThoughts #MindBlown
Are you a fan of the Avatar films? 🌿 Have you ever stopped to think about the N’avi in Pandora and their origins? 🤔 What if I were to tell you that they are actually transplants from another planet? 😱 Let’s dive into this mind-blowing theory and explore the possibilities together!
The N’avi as Transplants
Imagine a world where beings from another planet were brought to Pandora for a fresh start. The N’avi could be those beings, adapting to their new environment and thriving in the lush forests and breathtaking landscapes of Pandora. This theory opens up a whole new perspective on the Avatar universe and challenges us to think beyond what we already know.
Real-Life Examples
Think about how humans often transplant themselves to new cities or countries for better opportunities or a change of scenery. The N’avi could be seen as a representation of this human experience, but on a cosmic scale. Just like us, they may have faced challenges and had to adapt to their new surroundings, ultimately finding a sense of belonging in Pandora.
Addressing Random Thoughts
Have you ever pondered why the N’avi have a connection to the trees in Pandora? 🌳 Or why their blue skin is so similar to the colors of their environment? These random thoughts can now be interpreted through the lens of the transplant theory, providing a deeper understanding of their culture and biology.
– The bond with the trees could symbolize a connection to their past home planet, where nature played a crucial role in their society.
– The blue skin might be a genetic adaptation to the atmosphere of Pandora, helping them blend in with their surroundings and survive in their new home.
Conclusion
The idea that the N’avi are transplants opens up a world of possibilities and adds a layer of complexity to the Avatar universe. It sparks new conversations and invites us to think outside the box, challenging our perceptions of what is possible in the realm of science fiction. So next time you watch an Avatar film, remember this theory and let your imagination run wild! 💫
I had the same thought about their limbs. But if they’re not of Pandora, how is it they have the head tail thing that interfaces with other Pandoran creatures so naturally?
*six appendages*
Maybe reproduction is extremely surprising.
Edit: Giggity
Losing limbs is also an evolutionary possibility. Think of snakes evolving from limbed reptiles, or whales evolving from 4-limbed land mammals as examples. We don’t know the evolutionary pressures which might have influenced development of various species on that world.
Oddly enough, my theory is a combination of your 2 options. They were an advance race just like humanity. They found paradise and immortality but instead of destroying it, they joined it.
there’s a theory that some of the primate-analogous animals on Pandora evolved to fuse the four upper limbs into two single limbs. In the first movie [there’s a monkey-like animal](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/57/60/b7/5760b7bb8c330af64983e7aea5fa8fa6.jpg) that has a single upper arm that splits at the elbow to two forearms and hands.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the N’avi were genetically engineered by another species to specifically study Eywa.
I think the Na’vi were originally supposed to be a lot more anatomically interesting (e.g., with four arms), but the producers chickened out and made them blue cat people.
And yeah, they kind of half-assed an explanation with the Y-armed lemur things (how the heck is that supposed to work, and why would it be more advantageous for a tree-dwelling species than having four independently mobile arms?).
I believe I read that somewhere around the time the original movie came out.
Pretty sure the N’avi bioengineered their surroundings. They’re a super advanced race that made a paradise for themselves and called it a day. They have a biological supercomputer that allows worldwide communication and stores their shared knowledge (the internet) and have engineered animals that they can meld with to use for mounts (smart cars that are everywhere, and you grab one when you need it).
I think they probably are a genetic experiment. Or something like it.
Browsing the Avatar wiki, I see plenty of vertebrates that do not have exactly 6 appendages.
Ikrans also only have 4 limbs
Pretty sure we coexist with arachnids and originated on the same planet
it‘s addressed in the first movie. they show “primates” with partially fused limbs
Doesn’t their tail hair cable thing count as another appendage?;
I mean isn’t the platypus like one of only two species of mammal that lays eggs? Doesn’t mean it’s not from Earth.
Snakes and marine mammals must be some aliens to you, huh?
Awww, come on — you know the final movie is going to have the >!OG *Planet of the Apes* Statue of Liberty reveal.!<
I have no doubt that the series of films will have the revelation that Pandora is a bio engineered planet from ancient N’avi. David (James lol) cameron is a great filmographer, his writing however is predictable as fuck.
Or, they have vistigial limbs. Having a whole extra set of limbs adds to your weight, calories, etc. that’s pretty much why we don’t have six limbs. Maybe their bipedal lifestyle made their third set of limbs unnecessary.
*burp* You think life on earth evolved by itself?- Rick Sanchez
Maybe Ewa is a protagonist version of Jenova in final fantasy 7.
Once again I am reminded that I am a nerd… Not a geek. I legit have no idea how people are able to get this invested in fantasy/reality crossover scenarios, but will spend hours spreadsheeting imaginary dps numbers in my games.
I liked the take that it’s all a heavily engineered eco system, the Navi forgot they’re post singularity with hyper advanced bio tech. Either it just faded from their knowledge once they didn’t have to maintain it anymore and it was self sustaininh or there was some cataclysm.
Then the neck USBs, tree network nodes and other weird biology quirks like the number of limbs kinda make sense.
I don’t know if it works with the second one though, haven’t seen it.
I doubt that’s the intention though.
I think I read some interview or article where they proudly proclaimed “designing the Navi we just kept going until we thought ‘damn, yeah, I’d hit that.'” So that seems to have been the main concern why they got four limbs. Six legged blue cat girls ain’t sexy enough.
What are you on about? There are plenty with 4 and have you seen how many different species we have on earth? Are we not from Earth? Wierd post
By this logic snakes would be an experiment by a higher life form. I think it’s most likely just a unique evolutionary thing
My dude look at Earth’s animal kingdom. Are you claiming humans and whales are transplants because they dont have 3-1mil appendages like animals on earth?
They’re from a different evolutionary lineage.
This post is based on a fundamental misunderstanding about evolution.
The most likely outcome is that the Na’vi were isolated by some natural phenomenon and natural selection forced the four limbs.
I wouldn’t think about it. 99% of that movie doesn’t make any sense. Its so full of plot holes that the plot holes are the story.
Or the limbs fused together
Discussed this point after the first movie. Bought the Guide in case it had any answers (it did not). Concluded it was done to keep them as close to humans as possible for blue cat people. Also decodsd it meant that they were the first invaders and biohacked the native wildlife to be their servants.
>1. They are a genetic experiment of a technologically superior race.
Like we were to Prometheus? >!We evolved from his dissolved DNA in the sea?!<
They also don’t breathe through their shoulders.
Omg snakes are descendants of ancient aliens!
Is it possible that there is some different type of radiation that is causing more mutations as opposed to normal evolutionary processes?
In canon, as the primate equivalent family that na’vi came from evolved, two of their limb sets fused. You can see this in some monkey like animals with partially fused arms in the movie
They have prehensile tails. I think that counts.
Na’vi aren’t the only species with 4 limbs instead of 6. The flying Ikrans also have just 4
