Hey everyone, Sunday Scaries are hitting different today after a rough week dealing with PTO denial and potential retaliation at work. Here’s a quick recap of what went down:
– Denied PTO for a family emergency 😤
– Boss responding with a harsh “fuck you” email 🤯
– Looking into labor law issues and potential retaliation 🤔
But hey, here’s a possible solution to this mess:
– Reach out to local employment attorneys for advice 📞
– Gather statements or testimonies from other employees 📝
– Consider reporting to the Department of Labor for resolution 🕵️
Hang in there and remember, you’re not alone in dealing with workplace issues. Let’s support each other and navigate through this together! 🌟 #SupportEachOther #WorkplaceSupport
Sounds like you’re about to become a labor law hero, good luck tomorrow!
Maybe I missed it, but was FMLA leave requested? It is a federal worker protection law designed to allow you to take leave for yourself or a close family manner. HR should immediately step in because that could really fuck them, if you did. I’d you need resolution, talk to HR about classifying it as unpaid FMLA leave.
I had to learn all these laws on my way to and in the hospital, but I had an HR and management who worked with me. But, they knew I had to take those steps. Someone prior didn’t and they told way high ups they were never told so they got written up. Different culture but it’s a right.
