I would better build a Twitter account or IG (ig is better for designs) while seeking ways to get some more clients
It’s either pitching constantly in cold way or just going for a brand (fiverr counts too, but it sucks)
I went with a brand route and if I weren’t to make mistakes, it would all be better
I would highly recommend taking the leap to 3D, as its the next frontier. With tools like Bezi making it easier, and spatial design, its basically going mainstream almost like UI/UX, mobile apps did the past 10 years. I’ve been on platforms for years and have given them thousands of dollars in fees but you know what? I. Dont. Fing. Care. Theyve literally brought me *millions*, and that’s the price you pay for access.
Fiverr is a good way to get some hands on client experience, the bids will start low but if you can get into Fiverr pro or a level 2 seller or above you can net more sales. The budgets on there are typically pretty bad but it’s a good way to get paid to train if you’re willing to grind it out. Focus on a niche and really master it, be it product commercials, saas, music videos etc. You basically need to build up your portfolio that way you can either get your own clients or join a studio that will feed you clients long term. A lot of 3d guys are in freelance cuz it’s so heavily project based unless they get signed to a studio which is mostly elite people in my opinion, often pays worse than freelance cuz it’s not direct to client.

This is the best time to start and make mistakes. At this stage you’re looking for mistakes to make. First you should focus on a niche. What kind of businesses could benefit from your skills? You can make 3D animations for local businesses, for Saas, for Marketplaces, for advertisements, for construction companies. I don’t know, find a niche where you can implement your skills. Try to understand who the target audience is, to create an attractive sales message (USP) so that they realize what they can gain from your skills. Example: “Increase engagement 5x with customized 3D designs”… Something like that.
Very important: Make a plan. A plan helps you not to do things randomly and to do things logically in order to measure results. This [Smart Planning Tool](https://plani.ai/) will help you. It gives you a highly personalized plan full of tips and strategies that you can adopt.
Start a social media channel that shows you designing things, not just the end product and discuss the skills you’re developing along the way
Me too
Learn Blender! Trust me you won’t regret it
start making an amazing portfolio to showcase your talent, take your time and display the best of your work.
My businesses need 3d designs etc all the time. DM me your portfolio and I’ll pay you much higher rates than fiverr if you are really good.
You got a reel or case studies ?
I would recommend learning a Unreal Engine, and offering things specific to that. Ai can already do 2D images and videos, the next step in the process will be 3-D models. Best of luck 🙏
