#adulting #findingpassion #selfdiscovery
Hey friends! So, I’ve been doing some soul-searching lately and I’ve come to a realization – I don’t want to be “in service” to others anymore as an adult. 🙅♀️
I’ve spent years working in non-profit, and while it’s been rewarding in many ways, I’m ready to shift my focus to finding my own passions. The thing is, whenever I seek advice, it’s always about helping others. But what about me?
Do any of you struggle with finding a passion as you get older? It can be tough navigating this journey alone, especially when you feel like you haven’t been given the guidance you need.
Here are a few possible solutions that I’ve been exploring, and I’d love to hear your thoughts:
– Take some time for self-reflection and journaling 📝
– Try new activities or hobbies to spark inspiration 🔥
– Seek out a mentor or coach to help guide you on your path 🌟
Let’s support each other as we navigate this journey of self-discovery and finding our passions. Who’s with me? 💪 #selfcare #growthmindset
My dad gave me the best advice I could imagine when I was 20 and it lead to a major change in undergrad; Pick the lifestyle you want, then pick the career that will achieve it. Have a plan B and C for both.
My wife’s parents told her to pick her passion and she ended up working non profits and animal welfare. That ended up completely draining emotionally and she made shit for money.
My point is, if you have money, you can find time to pursue passions outside of work. When work defines who we are, life gets very meaningless very fast.
