Hey there, fellow wanderers! 👋 Are you also feeling a bit uncertain about where to take your next career step? Recently, I’ve been pondering the best country for work-life balance, especially with my background in Zoology and Business Support roles. Here are some considerations and suggestions for finding a place that offers a good quality of life while pursuing your professional ambitions:
-
Canada: Known for its beautiful landscapes and friendly people, Canada provides a great work-life balance with stable job opportunities in various industries.
-
Netherlands: With its progressive policies on work hours and vacation time, the Netherlands offers a healthy work-life balance and a diverse, multicultural environment.
-
Australia: If you’re looking for a laid-back lifestyle with plenty of outdoor activities, Australia might be the perfect fit for you. Plus, it has a strong job market and vibrant cities.
- New Zealand: With its stunning scenery and focus on work-life balance, New Zealand is an attractive destination for young professionals seeking a fulfilling career and a relaxed lifestyle.
As an EU national, exploring these countries could open up new opportunities and experiences for you. Keep in mind that finding the right balance between work and personal life is essential for your well-being and overall happiness. So, do some research, network with professionals in your field, and consider making a move that aligns with your career goals and lifestyle preferences. Cheers to new adventures ahead! 🌍✈️ #CareerGoals #LifeAbroad #ExploreTheWorld
Switzerland 🙂
You said you left UK but didn’t say where to?
Germany and Austria are very underrated imo. The job market is (very) healthy and work/life balance is highly valued especially in Germany. Austria is a little more parochial and you’ll find it hard without the language but if you can find a job there it’s dreamy.
Absolutely into Europe.
The Uk is heading the way of the US and so work/life balance isn’t getting better.
Germany!
I met a bunch of expats in Australia on working holiday visas. Plus, your zoology degree will give you a distinct advantage in arguably the most nature-oriented developed country in the world.
New Zealand or Australia
I am at Kiwi it’s great here for work life balance but the price of living is astronomical. Australia is probably a better choice to be honest.
Georgia. Laziest people I have ever met. But they still make enough to enjoy life.
Work in a expensive city from a place that is less expensive. Best balance you can get is low expenses high income.
Definitely not the US. We work really hard here. And also avoid Asian countries (China, Korea, Japan) work culture is intense there too. I’d recommend Scandinavian countries like Norway. The work culture is way more chill from what I’ve heard. Brazil I heard is also chill and any of the countries with the midday nap time like siestas in Spain should also be good.
