#Randstad #BackgroundCheck #Felony #RecruiterPosition
Hey everyone! So I recently landed a job at Randstad for a recruiter/sales position, which I am super excited about. But there’s a slight hiccup – I have a federal felony for mail fraud in my background. 😬
I know, I know, it’s not the ideal situation. But here’s the thing – Randstad’s employee handbook mentions that having a criminal background won’t automatically disqualify you from getting the job. So, I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or knows whether they only check state and local records for their background checks.
I’m sweating over here, wondering if I actually have a shot at this job. Any insights, advice, or personal stories would be greatly appreciated! Let’s figure this out together. 💡🤔
What do you think? Can I secure this job with a felony on my record or will it be a deal-breaker? Let’s discuss! #RandstadFelony #HelpNeeded #BackgroundCheckInsight
You’re probably more qualified than their typical recruiter
Used to work there.. unless things have significantly changed in regards to who they hire, they DGAF
I hired a director level IT guy thru them, and once the BG came back we discovered he not only had a felony conviction for SA, but it was on an underage *family member.* I asked them what measures they take to insure the ppl they present meet the criteria we set forth, as I had already confirmed we were aligned on that when we contracted with them… they had no real answer, claimed they’d missed it and said their BG checks must not be as sensitive and thorough as ours.
If you’re just going to contract thru them w/ no need to have an additional BG check thru the contracting company, you’re probably just fine.
I used to work there as well! I think you are going to be okay.
I worked with an Account Manager who was convicted of armed robbery! He’s a top performer, makes well into the 6 figure territory, and I recently saw a LinkedIn picture of him at this year’s Presidents club Mexico trip. I’m confident you’ll not only be okay, but a smashing success there.
Currently work here and you are probably fine but not guaranteed. Have had many candidates fail the background check for felonies. Also, Randstad just acquired an AI company so to all the people saying they are misguided or failing, probably have no idea what they’re talking about.
Funny they’re hiring after a huge layoff in March 💀
Can you tell what kind of background check it is? Like, does it say what jurisdictions it is checking?
If they run a federal check, it will come up I assume. I’ve heard the best thing to do is answer questions honestly on the background check then just see what happens.
