#CareerTrack?
Hey there! 👋 Are you on the career track to success in HR and staffing? 🚀 Let’s chat about your journey and what lies ahead! 🌟
So, I’ve been working in staffing for a while now, and recently had a meeting with senior leadership about my future growth within the company. 🤔 It seems like a path to becoming our CHRO/VP HR might be in the cards for me! 📈
But I’m curious – what’s the reality of an HR role compared to pure staffing? 🤷♂️ Are you faced with the same dilemma? Let’s share insights and experiences to navigate this career crossroad together! 🤝
Tell me your story! 🌈 #CareerGrowth #HR #Staffing #CHRO #CareerAdvice
If you’re interested in affecting change at a company wide level (and it sounds like you are) the CHRO progression would make a lot of sense to me. Based on what you shared here, it seems like a no brainer. Make sure the person you report to is grooming you on where all the bodies are buried and how to play the game so to speak.
If they are offering you that path and you think you want to do it, 100% go for it. Recruiting will always be there. These opportunities will not.
I started in recruiting. I now lead HR for a start up. When I was hired the start up needed staffing and HR and I did both. As we’ve grown I’ve built out an entire team of 7.
HR gives you the opportunity to see deep inside the company (how the sausage is made) vs staffing, where you get to see a lot but not as much as being an HRBP. Also, you’ll have more say as to the direction of HR and the technology it uses.
Clearly, you’re well liked within the organization or you would not have had the conversation with leadership.
Take it and don’t look back.
