Should I publicly call out a company for responding negatively to my Glassdoor review alleging dishonesty in the interview process? #Glassdoor #interview #companyresponse #honesty
Background:
After posting an honest but not insulting review of my interview experience with a company on Glassdoor, the company responded by claiming my comments were not in line with their process and that I was being dishonest. Their assertion contradicted my documented emails showing their delayed response to my candidacy.
Illustrative Story:
Amid their decent Glassdoor rating, I suspect the company may have a male-dominant culture (as evident from the male CEO and director, along with the majority of male employees on LinkedIn).
Question for Discussion:
Would you publicly expose such a scenario or opt to let it go? #workculture #transparency #genderdiversity
leave it alone. dont get into a potential defamation lawsuit from any employer.
You’ve nothing to gain from it. Leave it alone
Make sure it’s anonymous. Be general but accurate.
No need to get into a pissing match. They are employed. You are not. If you feel strongly about it, send a screenshot of the email but only do it if you want to bonfire that bridge and never go back.
It sucks. I know.
Keep your head up
Grow up and move on.
I work in high volume recruitment (managing thousands of candidates per job, times where the inbox is getting 30-40 emails per hour on 1 job) and we try extremely hard to get everything right and get back to candidates quickly but sometimes we may get a name wrong or not get back to you as quickly as you’d like but we really try our best. I hope the person that sent your email won’t be at risk because mistakes can happen
It is natural to be bitter, but you have to forget about it as you will not gain anything out of it, unfortunately.
