You don’t have privacy in a public place. Major companies who do this regularly because they don’t want to face tons of lawsuits.
Communications specialist with a large corporation. We use model release forms for every external image for instances like this, and also in case people revoke verbal consent later. Any time we work with children, we absolutely have to have a release form with parental consent. As others have pointed out, the expectation of privacy in private businesses is not to be expected, hence why I can take pictures at my corporation’s events, but there are also restrictions for releasing them publicly.
