#DeniedPromotion #RaiseRequest #WorkHardPayHard
👩💼 Have you ever put in hours of hard work only to be denied the promotion raise you deserved? It’s a frustrating and discouraging situation that many individuals face in the workplace. You pour your heart and soul into your job, show dedication and leadership skills, only to be met with disappointment when it comes to your compensation. But fear not, there are practical solutions to address this problem and ensure that your efforts are recognized and rewarded appropriately.
Understand the Situation
First and foremost, it’s essential to understand the situation you’re in. You’ve worked hard, shown leadership skills, and taken on additional responsibilities to help the company succeed. Acknowledge your worth and the value you bring to the table. Don’t let one setback deter you from your goals and aspirations.
Communicate Effectively
Communication is key in any professional setting. If you feel your promotion raise was denied unjustly, schedule a meeting with your boss to discuss your concerns. Clearly outline the reasons why you believe you deserve a higher pay raise based on your contributions and the market value of your position. Express your dedication and commitment to the company, but also emphasize the importance of fair compensation for your efforts.
Research Market Rates
Do your research on market rates for your position and responsibilities. Compare your current salary with industry standards and the pay scale for similar roles in the market. Present this data to your boss during your meeting to support your request for a higher pay raise. Show that you’ve done your homework and are knowledgeable about fair compensation practices in the industry.
Seek Support
Reach out to HR or other higher-ups in the company if you feel your concerns are not being addressed by your boss. Explain the situation and provide evidence of your hard work and dedication to the company. Sometimes, a different perspective or intervention from HR can help facilitate a fair resolution to the issue.
🌟 Remember, your hard work should be recognized and rewarded accordingly. Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself and advocate for fair compensation. Your value as an employee should be appreciated, and it’s important to stand up for what you deserve. Stay strong, be confident, and don’t give up on your quest for a promotion raise that reflects your contributions and dedication. #YouDeserveIt #FairPay #HardWorkPaysOff
Time to apply for a higher position with a new employer.
They already have you pegged as a people pleaser.
They have and will take advantage of you. Look for a new job but mention your new skills from this job.
Leave.
I mean this honestly.
I was the trainer. The people I trained got promoted over me time and time again and I mean for well paying “entry level” positions.
So they’d be promoted and get a 19% raise and continue to ask me to explain things.
Once it hit trainee #6 I was done.
Got a better paying job two weeks later.
“Sorry, but I must decline this promotion. At the rate of pay offered, I cannot afford the commute. Since I will no longer be training the new hires, to who should I send my training notes?”
You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate, That’s a sad reality my brother , People like your boss will literally give those guys a raise that you trained but wont give you a penny , Find a better place and Negotiate a good salary this time , Best of luck
