These stores have tucked away pet sections where treats, wipes, toys, etc are all close to 50% off and in the 2.5 years Ive been going to multiple locations this has held true. Always check expiration dates, but they usually have at least a year left still. I've shared this tip with family and friends and they were surprised to hear these stores even have pet supplies. Hope this is useful info.
Remember, saving money on pet supplies doesn’t mean compromising on quality. With a little bit of effort and smart shopping, you can provide the best for your furry friends while keeping your budget in check. Happy shopping! 🐾🛒
**Support high quality suppliers.** Brand loyalty is dangerous too, but buying cheap or sale items from bargain stores is supporting an economy of cheaper and lower quality items. They’ll get the idea that you’re going to buy ANY garbage they put out, and you will suffer the consequences of lazy workers from scam quality suppliers. Buying garbage will flood the market with more garbage. I need to buy healthy things for my pets, so I need all of you to stop feeding the people that ruin it for me. **If this advice is offensive, you’re probably already killing your pet and this advice is ONLY for you, because the people that really care about their pets already get it. It’s on sale because WE aren’t buying that garbage.**
Also, my dog LOVES disc golf frisbees
They’re a thicker plastic and much hardier, and even fly farther.
They are also much more expensive new. All my local shops have a Used section where you can pick them up for ~$10-15
In my experience, telling them it’s for my dog always results in a box full of warped/dented discs that they can’t sell to players. And they’ll happily give them to you for $2 each. If you bring the dog with you, it’s often free.
We get a lot of our stuff from Ollie’s!
great place to get stuffys
A lot of those stores are also dog friendly! My dog loves going into home goods to look for treats and toys with me 🙂
You’re very likely to get toys that fall apart within minutes or are straight up toxic. I bought some ribbons on a stick for my cats and the ribbons all came out literally the first minute the cats started playing with it.
This is indeed a great tip for animal supplies: toys, beds, etc.
I used to work in the corporate office of a national pet chain and we would do what is called recommerce, anything that we could not sell at discounted clearance in our stores at the final markdown was sold to these types of stores. Not all of their product came from us, but it was one supply chain channel.
I’d advise against buying any consumable products however as you may not be getting a quality item within its shelf life, and they do expire. Caveat emptor as they say!
Yes!! Dog toys are way cheaper at those stores
Great place to get dog toys and big bags of treats!!!
Home goods for dog toys is great.
