#UnfairDismissal #HRNightmare #LegalAdviceNeeded
Hey there, everyone! 👋 Has anyone here ever had to deal with a situation where they were wrongfully fired because of fake evidence presented by an employee? I recently found myself in that sticky situation and I could really use some advice.
So, here’s the lowdown: an employee fabricated some pretty convincing fake text messages and even went as far as creating fake paperwork from his cell phone carrier to frame me. Now, I’m out of a job and feeling completely blindsided. 😞
I’m contemplating taking legal action against both the company and the employee, but I’m not quite sure where to start. If anyone has any experience with this kind of legal battle, I’d love to hear your insights. In the meantime, here are a few possible solutions I’ve been considering:
– Seek legal counsel to explore potential avenues for a lawsuit
– Gather evidence to prove my innocence and disprove the fabricated claims
– Reach out to the cell phone carrier to verify the authenticity of the alleged fake paperwork
Any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Let’s brainstorm together and hopefully find a resolution to this messy situation. Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏 #JusticePrevails #LegalBattle #SupportNeeded
same thing happened to me but with social media posts, i was able to download all of my data, show them it was not me, and got to keep my job. never found out why or who did it but i did leave not too long after that debacle.
Hi, former AT&T rep. You can ask for a detailed bill for your cellphone line, it doesn’t show the contents of the text messages but it does give you phone number of incoming calls, text messages, and data. It also gives you time stamps.
You can also access that information with your own cellphone app. By downloading a pdf of your cellphone bill.
I am an attorney. There is a lot of very dumb advice here.
First you need to pull your own cell phone history. You can print out all of your past texts and call history.
Second, take this data to your employer. Explain that this other person submitted fake documents.
Third, you will get your job back… if this is the only reason you got fired…
I’m not a lawyer, but wouldn’t you be able to obtain a copy of your text messages and records from your phone company to prove that it was fake?
Get a bulldog of a lawyer and sue the other employee who essentially defamed you. Your damages are lost wages until you find a new job, and then potentially the difference in wages if you have to take a pay cut.
This course of action is probably worth it if you had a high paying job in a competitive field. It’s probably not worth it if you are a server in a restaurant who can go down the street and get another server job.
