It’s pretty normal. If you have questions, it is okay to reach out. But don’t panic if they haven’t reached out while background is going.
There is nothing to contact you about. Why would they contact you when they are waiting for background checks to be completed?
Recruiters are typically working 5 to 6 jobs at a time, with probably 4 to 5 candidates per job, etc. It’s just not a priority to check in with a candidate when there isn’t any news to report.
Is there a reason you need to have contact w/ the recruiter? Are you looking for daily status updates?
Sometimes background check can take a week or more depending on what states they have to contact
Typical. Depending on the role and your history, can take about a week. I’ve seen some come back same day, and I’ve seen some take weeks.
Contact all you want with them. It’s probably just taking a little while.
Ya, they won’t contact you. In fact they probably won’t contact you after the background is done either. You’ll get an email with I9 stuff to do, then an email with what to do your first day. Just follow the instructions.
