#ShortPeople #DropPhone #RandomThoughts #PhoneSafety #Clumsy 📱🤔
Have you ever wondered if being vertically challenged could save you from the heart-dropping experience of watching your phone plummet to the ground? It’s a random thought that might have crossed your mind at one point or another, but is there any truth to it? 🤷♂️
## The Myth:
We’ve all heard the saying “good things come in small packages”, but does this hold true for phone-dropping mishaps as well? Are short people really less likely to break their phone when they drop it? Let’s dig into this quirky concept and see if there’s any merit to it. 💭
### The Physics:
When it comes to dropping your phone, the impact force plays a crucial role in determining whether or not your device survives the fall. Generally speaking, taller individuals have a higher drop height due to their increased stature. This means that when a tall person drops their phone, it has more distance to accelerate before hitting the ground, resulting in a higher impact force. On the other hand, shorter individuals have a shorter drop height, which could potentially reduce the impact force and lessen the chances of their phone breaking upon impact. 📏💥
### Real-Life Examples:
While the physics behind this theory may seem logical, real-life examples can help illustrate the point further. Think about your friends or family members who are on the shorter side – have they ever shared stories of dropping their phone without it shattering into a million pieces? Perhaps you’ve witnessed a tall friend accidentally let go of their phone only to watch it suffer a tragic fate. These scenarios might just add some weight to the argument that short people are indeed less likely to break their phone when they drop it. 🤯📱
## Conclusion:
In conclusion, while the idea that short people are less likely to break their phone when they drop it may seem like a whimsical thought, there could be some truth to it based on the physics of impact forces. So if you find yourself on the shorter end of the height spectrum, maybe you can take comfort in the fact that your phone might have a better chance of surviving a fall unscathed. Just remember to always handle your device with care, regardless of your height! 🙌
Next time you drop your phone, take a moment to appreciate the potential advantages of being vertically challenged – who knows, it might just save you from a costly repair bill. And if you’re still skeptical about this theory, just ask your short friends if they’ve ever experienced a lucky phone drop moment. You might be surprised by what you discover! 😉📱
Hahahahaha. Thank you for this post!
False. I dropped my phone while sitting on the toilet and broke it
The idea that short folks break phones less,
Might seem logical, I would guess.
But habits in holding,
And care in unfolding,
Matter more than height in this mess.
I’ll agree, just this once. 🙂
I’m 5’2” and have never broken a phone, despite frequently dropping phones.
I’ve probably jinxed myself now. 🥲
Also less risk of back problem so that’s a plus
Short people more likely to accidentally bump head on boobs
I’m 6’2 have used an OtterBox commuter case since the dawn of touch screen and I have broken one screen in my life. Which in that case it was due to the phone calling off my bed and connecting screen first with metal risers I had. It fell from the height of a short person.
I have ADHD and I am not overly aware of what my hands are doing at times. As such I drop my phone on average 10+ times a week. This can be knocking it off counters, couches, just plain old dropping it, etc.
My point here is height has little to nothing to do with it. What you do to protect your phone does.
Would I like a better looking case? Fuck yes.
Will I ever have a better looking case at the expense of my screens well-being? Fuck no.
Protect your stuff properly and you wont have these issues.
I sold cell phones a bit over a decade. From trackball blackberry to iPhone 6/galaxy s5 era. Those with quality durable cases rarely had broken screens. Any wallet style with the flip cover, hardshell, or thin silicone consistently had breaks.
Want a cute cover? Get a good case and put a sticker on it. Problem solved, no height restrictions.
But then they typically have smaller hands too which makes them more likely to drop big phones (though it feels like we’re a bit past peak HUEG PHONE now).
As a wise man once said-
“short pwople are like eco-friendly humans”
