#Burnout #WorkLifeBalance #4DayWeekPetition
Is it any surprise we are all on the verge of burn out? 🤯
I know I’m not alone in feeling overwhelmed by the constant cycle of work, chores, and trying to squeeze in some me-time. The traditional 5-day workweek just doesn’t seem sustainable anymore, especially when juggling responsibilities at home. But imagine a world where we all had an extra day to recharge and reset every week. 🌟
Here are some possible solutions to consider:
– Push for a 4-day workweek petition to gain momentum worldwide 🌎
– Advocate for flexible work arrangements like remote options or compressed workweeks
– Prioritize self-care and set boundaries to protect your mental health
– Explore job opportunities that prioritize work-life balance and employee well-being
Let’s start a conversation about how we can make a positive change in our work culture and strive for a healthier, happier lifestyle. What are your thoughts on a 4-day workweek? I totally get you. I fortunately can afford to work part-time and have WFH, so I am doing as you say. Pick up the kids, run some errands etc. I even can breathe between!
I also hate spending that little free time on cleaning etc. It’s like saying your reward for the week is cleaning the bathroom again.
Before I cut my hours, my stress send me into a burnout. It wasn’t the job itself, but the constant pressure and so little time in between. Each time something popped up, my plan fell apart and so did my mental health.
I can’t remember the last time I didn’t feel burnt out
Somewhere, I think businesses thought having employees stressed and tired will make them better workers. But at some point they forgot there needs to be incentives and goals that benefit the employee. Without that, one of two things will happen: the employee finds a better job, or they become unfazed by the threats.
>I’m good at what I do and because of this I get rewarded with even more work and having to pick up the slack of lazier people.
It’s time to intentionally neglect work. Do you get paid more for more work? No, right? Do the lazy people get paid less?
Actually, the lazy person might get a promotion. Failing up is real.
For me, a teacher, I see it all the time. Teachers who burn out either quit or become burdensome “Curriculum” assholes. They generate more work for teachers just to justify their own position. Their job actually should be assisting the classroom teachers and it ends up being the opposite.
