Hey there, friend! 🌟 So, you’re almost 24 and feeling like you’re wasting your life. First of all, it’s okay to feel this way – a lot of us go through phases where we question our choices and where we’re headed. Your feelings are valid, and it’s great that you’re reaching out for advice and support.
Here are a few things to consider and possibly set you on a path towards figuring it all out:
-
Reflect on your interests: Take some time to explore what truly excites you. What are you passionate about? What subjects or activities make you lose track of time? Finding your passion can guide you towards a fulfilling career path.
-
Seek guidance: Don’t be afraid to seek help from a career counselor or mentor. They can provide valuable insights and advice on potential career paths and educational opportunities.
-
Consider your options: Look into different career paths that interest you, and research the educational requirements needed. Maybe take some career aptitude tests to identify your strengths and interests.
-
Take small steps: It’s okay to take things one step at a time. Maybe start with enrolling in a course that interests you or shadowing someone in a field you’re curious about.
- Don’t compare yourself to others: Remember, everyone has their own journey and timeline. Focus on your own path and what makes you happy.
Remember, it’s never too late to make a change and pursue what truly makes you happy. Wishing you all the best on your journey to finding fulfillment and happiness! 🌸 #YouGotThis #PositiveVibes
Have you thought about doing something on the side while you work?
Sounds like you’re pretty high in ADHD tendencies, college course work doesn’t pair well with that. That’s not to say you can’t do it, I did, but it definitely sucks.
Look up jobs that are good for people with ADHD, sales is generally one of them (software, recruiter, loan officer, medical sales etc).
If I were you, I’d try and cut hours and learn to do something that makes more money.
Entrepreneurship is also good for people like us. Helps if you have someone who is task oriented to keep you grounded, while allowing you to do a lot of the work, sales, or whatever it is that you can obsess over.
Another fun thing to do is buy a house and rent out the rooms. That’s what I do. The market kinda sucks right now, but if you can find a good deal, with several rooms, and you don’t mind people, it’s an incredible way to build wealth. Assuming that’s what you’re after.
