#PurposeOfLife #MeaningOfLife #FindYourPurpose
Have you ever found yourself questioning the point of it all? 🤔 Why do we go through the motions of working hard, paying bills, and feeling like we’re just going through the motions? Is there more to life than just this endless cycle?
Here are some thoughts on finding purpose in life:
– Explore your passions and interests to discover what truly brings you joy and fulfillment.
– Reflect on your values and beliefs to align your actions with what matters most to you.
– Connect with others who share your values and goals to create a supportive community.
– Practice gratitude and mindfulness to appreciate the present moment and find meaning in everyday experiences.
Remember, life is what you make of it. By taking proactive steps to find your purpose and live a fulfilling life, you can create a sense of meaning and happiness that transcends the daily grind. So, what are you waiting for? Start exploring and discovering your purpose today! 🌟
To find joy!
This one is easy. It’s to make others rich.
Generate value for the shareholders.
Those steps are just a part of ordinary life: going to school, or being self-taught to learn a skill for a job, exchanging our time for sustenance. Work is not life itself, but a necessary evil.
Real living is outside of school and work – doing things you love. It could be reading, hiking, talking, helping people, or learning things you enjoy such as philosophizing and reflecting on the nature of life. Some find joy in running a marathon, others push their bodies in the gym, and some enjoy traveling. Some strive to be good. You just have to find out what you enjoy doing after work.
>too busy raising our kids
I like being busy raising my kids.
There is no “point.” It’s just about trying to find ways to make the most of it.
There is no point. Purpose isn’t found. It’s something you need to make for yourself. You’ve probably heard it a million times, and it sounds so dumb and cheesy, but it’s true. I’ve decided that my purpose is to be game developer. Just pick something you’re passionate about and go with it.
How old are you?
Everything you’ve said is correct. It’s a trap. Personally I stay alive to see what will happen… simple curiosity
Get loved, make more, try and stay alive
I suggest looking into Buddhism and maybe watch some talks by Ram Dass and Alan Watts on YouTube if you want some philosophical perspective that could help orient you to find a path worth following. 🙏
1 in 400,000,000,000,000 is your odds of being born. The fact you are here and get to experience life is the gift man. Live it and enjoy it where you can.
My grand son is 4 months old and just seeing him the same way as I saw my own son sure makes everything I had to go through well worth it.
I’m 63 and been retired 3 yrs and plan is to live another 30 enjoying time with my kids and grandkids.
I have lived below my means and saved and invested to get to this point. Then I still would like to go back to college for a geology degree. Not really sure what I will do with geology but I am not going to be sitting around waiting to die.
To party and get dirty
To work for a corporation for your whole life
Agreed!
To live.
Everyone wants a purpose or reason. Life is life.
Not every problem has a solution.
Flash’s Mom-
To sacrifice what we can’t have. Like you said the house, car, kids, things you want to do/have are all things that we can sacrifice. You sacrifice what you can’t have, and you focus on what you can have, that would get at least some of what you want or don’t want. Kids for example are the last thing one should have, because we will have to sacrifice a lot to really enjoy the process of growing kids, and there are just so many unpredictable outcomes from having kids.
I myself am an example. I estrange my parents so as not to let them see my failure and I don’t even want to see them because they will nag me about my inferiority, after they work their whole life raising me, and what do they get in return? Time and Money lost. My wife and I decided not to have kids and will have nothing with kids, and we just can’t afford it nor house nor car. We live in our own peace except until sister in law has a daughter recently and almost 1 year old and I have to attend a 1 year old birthday party at a buffet and I am vegan and have no interest in looking at people who consume animals. Meh, Life is really not joyful at all, except when I am at home playing games, spending time doing what I want, and even cooking makes me feel annoyed but I have to eat or my wife has to eat too, and she doesn’t cook, and so I have no choice but to cook.
There is no point. Just do good, be good and have some fun.
I feel this so much. You just suffer through every day, work a job that sucks only to pay for things you need to stay alive. What’s the point?
I am in my mid 30s, married with kids. The purpose of my life changes daily. Sometimes the purpose is to survive, and sometimes the purpose is to thrive, create, explore, learn, or something entirely different. We are all here for an experience. Some people get really shitty hands in life and some people get really good hands, but no matter what the situation is we have to play the cards we’re are dealt. Your perspective will change as you get older, and maybe what I think today won’t be the same as in 5, 10, 15 or 50 years.
There’s no point and you have no purpose. I’m a big fan of optimistic nihilism. There’s no pressure to follow a certain path and you can truly do what you want
There is none. It’s whatever you draw up in your own conscious mind.
