#SHRM2024 #ConferenceTips #FirstTimeAttendee
Hey everyone, so I’m a first-time attendee at the SHRM National conference and I have to say, I’m a little overwhelmed after the first day. I didn’t realize that it’s such a mad rush to get into sessions! I arrived 30 minutes early only to find that they were already full. 😳 So, do I have to get there 45 minutes early to every session? It’s a bit limiting on how many sessions I can actually attend. Can anyone offer some advice or tips on how to navigate this? Please, help a newbie out!
Some possible solutions could be:
– Arriving even earlier to ensure a seat
– Checking out overflow rooms or virtual options for popular sessions
– Prioritizing sessions and creating a schedule to maximize your time at the conference
I’d love to hear from experienced attendees on how they tackle this issue. Let’s share our knowledge and make the most out of this conference together! 🌟 #LearningTogether #SHRMCommunity
I think it’s bc Sunday is like a soft launch and there aren’t as many options. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little less crowded – but def plan on be there about 10 min early.
There was a session last year that filled up an hour before. You had to skip a session to get to it. It’s terrible.
Yeah, that’s normal. They do a terrible job of planning and having enough room. Prioritize your sessions and get there really early. Speakers also send their slide decks to the app so you can see what you missed.
