Hey everyone! 🌟
Has anyone here been fired from work at 32? 🤔 It’s been a tough time for me since I didn’t pass my job probation and lost my 7-year career track. I’ve been unemployed for 4 months now and despite having lots of, interviews, my confidence has taken a massive hit. I’m starting to doubt my employability altogether.
Here are some possible solutions that might help you during this difficult time:
– Taking some time for self-care and self-reflection 🧘♂️
– Seeking support from friends, family, and professional networks 🤝
– Upgrading skills through online courses or certifications 📚
– Seeking the help of a career counselor or coach 🌟
Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. Let’s support each other and overcome these challenges together! 💪 #CareerSupport #Resilience #KeepGoing
I got fired at 34 years old. Took shit work far from home just to not be unemployed during Corona. Hated my life more than ever for a while and the long commute and new job we’re killing me physically and mentally. So I went to business for myself. And now my brothers my 50-50 partner and we have one of the quickest growing local companies in our industry. Life is never been better and honestly if they didn’t fucking fire me I wouldn’t have it. It took a little bit of bleakness to give me the balls to take the chance and go out on my own.
Take this time to reflect on your skills and strengths gained over your career. Youre definitely still employable sometimes it just takes time to find the right fit. Keep pushing forward and things will turn around
I got fired for having sex on top of my desk at 30.
32 you still have time. @32 I switched careers and got my first IT job. At 32 I have now make 3x my starting IT income.
Ehhh I am in an industry where that’s a Tuesday for the vets and it did me just like you… the first time. But it is always wrong to think like that, as long as you don’t wanna give up, you don’t need to believe that. I have been fired, laid off, have not made it through probation, had contracts not renewed, some of these multiple times, and I am also just 35. I managed to actually always come out better than if I had stayed where I was. And my company right now has way smarter colleagues and much better pay. Can’t complain right now, to think I thought I was done when I made half of my salary in that stupid little company that took itself so seriously is ridiculous today. You will be fine.
Wdym didn’t pass probation? That retroactively dissolves the previous 7 years?
Hey, I feel ya 😅 35 and thought I had a career going but lost my last job.. now I’m in a similar boat. Trying to stay positive but it’s fuckin hard rn. No one wants a middle aged mum at work anywhere near me and it’s frustrating
Take a step back and think if the career path you were on is truly what you want to do. At 32 I’d say you have a lot of options for various careers. I wouldn’t shy away from trades as they are always jobs in demand.
