Trying not to feel some type of way after acing my interview last week, but still waiting to hear back 🤞 How long should I wait before following up? I really need to start working ASAP. Any advice or similar experiences to share? Here are some key points and possible solutions:
– Consider sending a polite follow-up email early next week to express your continued interest and inquire about the status of the hiring process 📧
– Be patient but proactive; it’s important to show your enthusiasm for the position without being too pushy 💼
– Keep in mind that hiring processes can often take longer than expected, especially for important roles like the one you interviewed for ⏰

Send an email thanking them for their time. Reintegrate why you believe you would be a great fit for the role, how positive you feel about the job/people/ position. Gently remind that you can start when needed, the ball is then in their court. Good Luck.
In my experience the interview process takes around 2-4 weeks. Depending on negotiation it can add another week if they need to counter offer or make an offer to another candidate who also rejects.

Maybe go work for a temporary personnel agency in the meantime, they pay weekly.
You never got it until you got it. Keep looking.
I’m not sure why you thought you had the job, based on what you’ve expressed. You doing well in an interview doesn’t preclude anyone else from also doing well (or even better) during their interview…
I had this exact experience. Keep faith. I interviewed with the hiring manager and his boss 3 weeks ago. Interview went great, but like you, I was the first interview. I got the offer from them on Friday. The whole process has taken almost two months between when I submitted my application to when my start date will be.
In my recent experience these places move super slow. Reaching out to confirm your interest and bringing you to top of mind Will goo a long way. Good luck!
It’s the worst when you have a great interview. Both of your body language is good. And then you get hit with that shocking email.
Send a polite follow-up email expressing your continued interest and availability.
Usually a week max…. Beyond that…..they’re not serious about filling the position or it’s just a ghost job. I say a week because often they want to interview a few others. However I’ve gotten an offer (before Covid) as quick as 2 hours after the interview
