#WorkplaceMistakes #JobAdviceNeeded #ProblemSolving
Hey there, everyone! 👋 So I recently started a new job and I’ve definitely run into some issues… I was rushing to keep up with the fast pace and made some mistakes with how I organized certain items. Now my boss is threatening to fire me over it 😬. What do you think? Have you ever been in a similar situation?
Here are some things I’m considering to fix the situation and improve moving forward:
– Implement a double-check system to ensure all items are properly organized
– Communicate openly with my boss about the challenges I’ve encountered and my plan for improvement
– Take time to slow down and pay attention to detail in my work
What other suggestions do you have? Let’s help each other out 🙌 #SupportiveCommunity #LearningFromMistakes
Apologize? You have acknowledged the mistake to us already.
Aside from that, the tone of the bosses messages seem unprofessional. I get that he/she is upset and legitimate mistakes were made but there is still a better way to talk to people.
This is one step away from calling you stupid at some point when something else happens.
Is that 9 other people reading that conversation? Jesus christ. I wouldn’t even reply to any of that. Just deal with it in person.
I’d honestly just block this number and would never look into this chat again. You’re not getting paid to put up with this passive aggressive bullshit.
A good leader criticizes in private, and compliments in public. You work with assholes.
Two mistakes back to back is kinda bad tho op. Sorry not trying to offend. Just saying maybe you should slow down a lil and try to think things more thoroughly. Sacrificing time for efficiency. But those are understandable mistakes for a new employee and they should communicate things in a professional manner. Job group chats are rarely functional.
Buncha rats. Bounce
You messed up but bro just quit.
I’ve seen coworkers break shit worth $1000s, It happens constantly in the trades.
It’s clearly not working out there, whether it’s micromanagement, shitty management, or nothing but air between your ears, I can’t tell.
That is overly stressful to deal with those texts. What a crappy work environment.
As other people have said this is just annoying passive aggressive bs and is not constructive or mature. If they know who did this they can reprimand in private, if not they can remind people in person verbally or with a sign or something (and pay better attention to their kitchen).
I had family that would use group texts to criticize me and a few other members and seemed to get some kind of pleasure out of trying to humiliate us publicly. I don’t talk to them anymore.
Don’t say anything in That group chat.
Racetrac used to be a decent place to work. Money was okay for no breaks. But management roles were not worth it at the time. I went from associate to 3rd shift manager to swing manager. I was offered a chance to be assistant manager at another store but turned it down because it’s A. A gas station, and b you will kill yourself there for the company and associates who like you don’t want to be there.
Yea this is really stupid. They’re trying to make an example out of you. If you really value this job I would speak to the managers privately and let them know you would like feedback but prefer it to come directly not through a group text thread. If they can’t respect that then this is not for you.
The passive aggressiveness is off the charts, treat your employees with respect and they’ll respect you. Not a hard concept
For one, don’t be in a group text with work. That’s about as bad an idea as I can think of.
I’d reply that the courts have ruled that texting people off the clock in this manner counts as payable time, so they now owe everyone that isn’t already on the clock additional pay.
😂
Id block and never come back f that job
