#WorkplaceSafety #ReportingAbuse #ProtectingChildren
Are you dealing with a dangerous coworker who is putting the safety of children at risk? It can be incredibly challenging and frustrating when you witness someone’s harmful behavior in the workplace, especially when it involves vulnerable individuals like children. Here are some practical steps you can take to address this issue and ensure the safety of those around you.
## Recognizing the Problem
Identifying the Signs
– Physical abuse towards children
– Verbal abuse or inappropriate language
– Secretive or suspicious behavior
– Lack of accountability for their actions
– Fear or discomfort around the coworker
## Taking Action
Document Everything
Make sure to keep a detailed record of every incident you witness or experience. Include dates, times, and specific details of the behaviors exhibited by your coworker. This documentation will be crucial when reporting the issue to your superiors.
Report to Management
Schedule a meeting with your boss or HR department to discuss your concerns. Present your documented evidence and explain the impact the coworker’s behavior is having on the children and the work environment. Emphasize the urgent need for action to be taken.
## Seeking Support
Reach Out to Authorities
If your company fails to address the issue appropriately, consider contacting local child protective services or law enforcement. They have the resources and training to investigate allegations of abuse and ensure the safety of the children in your care.
Seek Counseling
Dealing with a dangerous coworker and witnessing abusive behavior can take a toll on your mental and emotional well-being. Consider seeking support from a counselor or therapist to process your feelings and develop coping strategies.
Remember, your priority is the safety and well-being of those around you. Don’t hesitate to take action and speak up against any form of abuse or misconduct in the workplace. By raising awareness and advocating for change, you can help create a safer and healthier environment for everyone. Stay strong and stay vigilant. #SpeakUp #ProtectTheInnocent 🚨👩🏫🛑
This is clearly against the law. Can you report this to CPS or the police? Or somewhere where one can report workplace violations
If your in the us and working with kids your a mandatory reporter. Follow the law report to the police. Keep reporting every time
This is criminal activity. You are liable if (and when) something bad happens.
You HAVE to call Child Protective Services. They deal with this all the time and have protocols in place.
Then just have your phone on you and casually record these illegal activities as evidence.
You need to call law enforcement and CPS.
If all these allegations are true and your boss hasn’t preformed a thorough investigation into the matter then your boss is going to be held liable as well.
Your on the internet and not in a police station. Shame on you
Arnt you considered a mandated reporter? So…. Report. You’re ethically obligated to. I know it can be uncomfortable but you have to take that very seriously and follow through on your part. See something, say something. Period.
Set up a camera catch some abuse on camera first, or put one up just to make the abuse stop.
Stopped reading after locking kid in a dark.
First off, fuck you for not protecting those children.
Second. Try to get evidence but step in before anything happens then Call the cops/cps
Call the police
I work as a facility superintendent for a private school and as part of that school we have a daycare. We have cameras with audio recording in every single room. The amount of times in a single year shit like this happens is insane. I don’t know how a daycare can operate without those safe guards. The rule book for our CPS is extensive and includes stuff like liability for teaches who don’t report incidents. Document everything please, and email (emphasis on written documentation) your director follow-ups to everything you said and was said to you. People including your boss will throw anyone they can under the buss if their jobs are at stake.
You need to report this immediately to Child Protective Services- if something tragic happens to the babies while you ponder what to do, you’ll never forgive yourself and rightfully so.
I assume you work in childcare, in a country like the US.
If so, you are likely a mandated reporter. This is serious abuse. You are required by law to report this. Failing to do so, and having it come out through some other means, means you’ll face problems.
There is likely a procedure for reporting misconduct to a body that regulates this business. That’s where you report it.
Why haven’t you reported this to authorities?
if you’re working with kids it’s likely that you’re a mandatory abuse reporter. CPS and parents are the people you need to be informing. as a mandatory abuse reporter you’re actually required to act. you need to document incidents and report them in a timely manner or it is a derelict of duty. step up.
If you are witnessing abuse, you need to report it. Not to your boss, to CPS. Do something!!!
Report it to cps
